Whats legal pot, chopped liver? The sun is a bummer during winter, but during the summer its not uncommon to have 16-17 hours of daylight which totally makes up for it. The progs usually keep it to the I-5 corridor and (at least where Im at) most people lean towards leaving you alone. Some other pros: No mosquitos, no humidity, great steelhead fishing, and 30 minutes to a ski resort.

I’d like to go to Oregon some time, but I’m concerned about getting dysentery on the way. Plus, I might have to shoot way too many animals and I don’t know how to carry them all back to the wagon in several trips, so they’re guaranteed to go to waste and cause everyone to die of starvation. If you want a prog site or a conservative site, there are literally dozens of very popular ones with high traffic to choose from. Libertarian sites, very much under represented at this point.

I’m joking, kinda. I came over to Reason from Mises. Mises publishes some fine work. A little loopy on some subjects, but very analytical on others. But the commenters were always a little aspy.
H&R was the first place I ever posted a comment on the intertoobz. And I had been lurking for 2-3 years prior to that. I was in awe of the sarcasm and wit of some of the commentariat. I decided that one day, I must aspire to such cynicism as that.

What they’re *less* likely to do is form a specific alliance with religious conservatives to work together on matters of common interest.
