That’s the same guy telling the US we are evil for not having an open border policy while living in the only nation completely walled off and with the most difficult immigration process on the planet? Yeah, fuck him.
“[The religious leaders] do not practice what they preach. They tie up heavy, cumbersome loads and put them on other people’s shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to lift a finger to move them. Everything they do is done for people to see…they love the place of honor at banquets and the most important seats in the synagogues; they love to be greeted with respect in the marketplaces and to be called ‘Rabbi’ by others…[they] are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of the bones of the dead and everything unclean. In the same way, on the outside they appear to people as righteous but on the inside they are full of hypocrisy and wickedness.” Matthew 23:2b-7,27

Question for HM.
Pidgin is supposed to be a combination of two languages so folks don’t have to master both, but in these BBC pieces about the only words that aren’t English are the articles and pronouns. All the actual content in nouns and verbs is in English. It would seem that anyone with a big enough English vocabulary to understand this wouldn’t need the Pidgin. Not snarking – just seems strange.
I’m obviously not HM, but my experience with Nigerian pidgin was everyone outside of the most remote places could speak english but pidgin was more natural. They would accommodate you with english if you were not a native pidgin speaker. All other communication was in pidgin. That is why I was so confused by what makes a language a creole language.
Ok. The Star Trek II: Wrath of Khan screening this afternoon was awesome. Bizarrely, despite my limited memories, I don’t think I’d actually seen it all the way through before. Great presentation including hilarious Q&A with Shatner beforehand. Screening again on Wednesday at Regal theaters – limited engagement.
If you check the Fathom Events page there are a lot of great flicks playing in the next few months including a bunch of Ghibli movies this month, Night of the Living Dead: Rifftrax next month, and Little Shop of Horrors – including “lost” final ending and Frank Oz interview for Halloween (think I’ll aim to catch that last one).
http://www.khaaan.com/
This site has been going for …years.
I’m surprised that Mononoke isn’t on the list for the Ghibli films. I may be catching some of the others in the theater again though.
Maybe next year, I think they cycle periodically. Saw that one and Spirited Away subbed in theaters when they first came out – the 80s stuff is a different story completely – seeing those big screen will be a blast. (I may make an exception and catch Castle of Cagliostro dubbed due to schedule reasons – the animation and story is just that much fun).
We’re in a transition period for both men’s and women’s tennis. Fed, Nadal, and the Williams sisters are in the twilight of their careers, and while some of the “younger” established champions (Murray, Djokovic) still have a few years left, but even they are watching the sun set on their time in competitive tennis. Besides a one-off winner here or there, neither the men’s or women’s tour have consistently competitive younger talent waiting in the wings for their time to shine.
Nadal is only 31 – he’ll be around for years to come. Unfortunately.
He’s going to pass Federer. Unfortunately.

Nice.
Was thinking of this after reading the spitting outrage of noted idiot when dare questioning the leadership of Cuba in this time of crisis (but harping on ACG is fine): https://twitter.com/adamjohnsonNYC/status/906531698208333824
But it is sad: I don’t want people in Cuba to suffer. At the same time, I want the comfortable apologists stateside to suffer intellectually in their stinking shit of ideals.
Reading that twitter feed got my blood pressure to rise. Jesus there are some good communists here. Who knows if the kid on the street was telling the truth. I would believe him over the UN and the Castros though. I now both of them are full of shit.
Is this where they trot out their “right-wing media conspiracy” fantasies? Pass.
Ya, that one was in there. The reporter told him to say his family in Cuba had not heard about the storm. That and make fun of him for being some random Cuban American on the street and how he must know more than the UN and the Cuban Government who say they protect all citizens in the communist utopia.
Why doesn’t that guy move to utopia Cuba then, where all is perfect, especially because people can’t get the latest cell phone? Hey dude, most Cubans can’t get internet, either. How would you do your Twitter then?
Oh well, probably easier to stay in the US and make those hilarious jokes about how horrible it is to have a news network that is right-leaning. Why can’t that Faux News be a house organ for the DNC like everyone else? We’ll just tell all our smug friends that everything on that station is a lie and anti-science.
Holy crap, the first paragraph alone of the UN report is filled with so much misleading content it has to be deliberately mendacious.
So we are comparing the death tolls of Cuba and every other country in the region combined. Yeah, that seems reasonable. Never mind that Georges was only a Category 1 when it was going through Cuba, compared to being a 2-4 when hitting most of the other countries.
Charlies going over a narrow strip of Cuba (though admittedly over the heavily populated Havana): Category 1-2.
Charlie when it hit Florida: Category 4
Also interesting that they chose two specific hurricanes a full six years apart instead of total hurricane death tolls over a set period. Also, no links or sources.
“Mostly though, we’re just lying to you. For it’s for the good cause of the glorious worker’s paradise.”
They are lying their asses off. I bet they are going to have mass graves after this one goes through.
I was reading it and wondering what exactly they mean by ‘disaster preparedness’. What did the Cuban commies do exactly? How did they prepare?
Commies are such fucking liars.
They built a glorious seawall, which just collapsed
They say they evacuated 1 million people and some dolphins from some water park. I call bullshit on the people. They had pictures of the dolphins.
They had pictures of the dolphins.

Decriminalize street shitting, they said. Everything will be OK, they said.
San Diego to begin spraying down streets to control hepatitis A outbreak
Well, now that people are dead I suppose we can go back to giving a shit (in the toilet, please) about public sanitation laws?
SHITLORD! Wait….
San Diego isn’t San Fran – that’s weird. Didn’t think they’d do something like that. Generally seemed more “conservative” than a lot of that state.
When there was a lot of Navy and retired Navy there…yes. Now….eh?
There’s still a lot of navy and retired folks there – they’re still building more facilities – same number of ships, aircraft, etc. Even the Mexican side of town on the S. end of the city is pretty decent. Granted, I’ve only been there for short periods and staying on base, but i haven’t heard massive safety announcements put out by the Navy (again…things may have changed since I’m not local to the area and local message traffic wouldn’t make it out to me).
Navy Bros move to Poway.
I doubt it. Most of Poway is expensive.
Per the article the outbreak is in downtown and Balboa Park. The city isn’t tolerating shitting on the sidewalk. These are areas where the homeless tend to congregate. It’s sad but unsurprising.
The Seahawks looked… lackluster.
The Raiders looked pretty good.
we can go back to giving a shit (in the toilet, please) about public sanitation laws?
When the Great Ebola Scare began, I said, “First world sanitation will save us.”

Jimmy, for all his faults, did initiate most of the de-regulation that Reagan gets the credit for (air, brew and trucking). He also wanted to introduce zero-based budgeting (versus the standard this year’s number plus 6% and any new big programs).
Compared to Bill, he was a raging leftie. Compared to Obama he was pretty damned centrist. I would take him over Trump (and I’d probably take the 17th name off the 123rd page of the Denver white pages over either of ’em).

Once something like cannabis gets legalized, you need a government agency to oversee it. That was half the point of legalization, doncha know. In California, the agency responsible for overseeing cannabis is called “The California Bureau of Cannabis Control”. And, of course, what’s the point of wielding arbitrary power if you don’t wield it arbitrarily? And how arbitrary is arbitrary anyway?
The California Bureau of Cannabis Control answered that question, last Wednesday, with a new regulation regarding marijuana delivery. In short, you can’t deliver marijuana in California by driverless car or by drone.
“Deliveries may be made only in person by enclosed motor vehicle.”
https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2017/09/startup-buzzkill-california-bans-drone-delivery-services-of-legalized-pot/
You’d think they might want to discourage people from driving themselves home from a trip to the pot store, but noooOOOooo. This seems to me sort of like making a law against getting a ride home from a bar in a driverless car. Meanwhile, you can get prescription opioids through the mail or a parcel delivery service–but I don’t believe that will be legal for cannabis . . . for obvious reasons.
The “obvious reason” being arbitrary power. What’s the point of having arbitrary power if you don’t use it arbitrarily?
Apparently can’t delivery by motorcycle either. Never mind that you can get 5 course dinners on normal flatware delivered by motorcycle in various Asian cities – apparently it’s too much trouble to have motorcycle or bike couriers handle deliveries discreetly and professionally saving time and money.
“Deliveries may be made only in person by enclosed motor vehicle.”
So not in a convertible either?
Anything you can do, California can do worse!
Goes along with my Rule of California ballot initiatives: They are either bad ideas, or good ideas executed badly.
BTW. has our resident producer put out any updates on actual sales and dealing with distribution issues yet?
I’m actually working right now on a long piece to submit, probably in 2-3 parts about how I got into the business, some info about the regulatory environment, etc. But we’re busy. We’re sold out of all the product from our last harvest from 5-6 weeks ago (total of about 20lbs). We have another harvest coming up in 2-3 weeks, and then one after that 5-6 weeks for now. We’re busily building out the infrastructure at our farm so we can hit the ground running once final approval of the rec license finishes. That’s when things will really scale up.
Short version is that since we are a med grow producing relatively small amounts, sales and distribution are simple. We have folks that have their med card and we give to them in exchange for a donation and then what they do with it from there is on them and they tend to buy by the pound. We do some small amounts for friends that have their card as well, ounces usually.
Rec will be differently.
I guess that rules out food trucks. Imagine the business potential… snuffed out
Just think of the potential. Future headline:

Wow, they spent a lot of time NOT mentioning a certain thing in that article.
Do they realize that by so blatantly refusing to say anything, they may as well be shouting it from the rooftops?
…or perhaps they are worried about running afoul of anti-speech laws in England
*sigh*
Good catch. The absence speaks louder than the words ever will.
Did you ever try to read Pravda back in its glory days? It was like an Obama speech. The press here is starting to read like that. A lot of words and zero information.
There’s a quote in 1984 (watched the movie last night) about how Newspeak was meant to break the link between the brain and the vocal cords. The less your words mean the better.
Reminds me of my Chinese teacher mentioning that one of the side effects of character simplification was that traditional Chinese characters (and pre Communist and Taiwanese books and records) were difficult to impossible to read.

TO THOSE BRUTALS SAYING THIS STORM IS PUNISHMENT FOR VARIOUS THINGS POLITICAL…EXPLAIN CUBA THEN.
Wreckers and Kulaks are ruining Cuba! If it wouldn’t be for them, Cuba would have weathered this storm!
Blah blah blah outrage outrage outrage.
The prosecutors’ request involves a Facebook post of Mr. Shkreli’s from Monday. “On HRC’s book tour, try to grab a hair from her,” Mr. Shkreli wrote, referring to Mrs. Clinton, who has a book scheduled to come out next week. “Will pay $5,000 per hair obtained from Hillary Clinton.”
Several hours later, he added a line saying the post was “satire,” according to the prosecution filing, and later deleted the entire thing, a day after telling his lawyer, prosecutors and the Secret Service that he would.
The Secret Service, which protects Mrs. Clinton, spent “significant additional resources” investigating Mr. Shkreli’s offer and tried to interview him. He posted on Facebook that he had declined but would be “peacefully protesting the Hillary Clinton book signing in NYC,” according to the filing.
I couldn’t give a fuck if he wants to clone her and make her clean his toilet. Why the fuck is the Secret Service expending taxpayer resources on “protecting” that odious cunt?
AAAAIIIGH! Clone Hillary?! That doesn’t fill you with dread? Or bile? Or…oh sweet mother of mercy, I think SF might be inspired by this!
You cannot clone an Old One.
True, but if she is a true Old One, and that is not dead which can eternal lie (like, with a cloth?)…
Odious is root Latin for odoriferous isn’t it?
Wow, I didn’t think cloning; I thought voodoo doll
Yours is much more frightening and disgusting.
From the sidebar of the church story: William and Kate’s third child should be a NHS birth
So here’s a thought on how the child and its parents, members of a family that is funded by the state but whose members do not have to rely on its services, could make a genuine impact: the royal baby could be a National Health Service birth.
It is, of course, a private decision and it would be no surprise if William and Kate return to the private Lindo Wing at St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington, where Prince George and Princess Charlotte were safely delivered.
But imagine the message they would send if they used the NHS maternity facilities round the corner instead.
In its 70th anniversary year, it would be a huge public endorsement of Britain’s defining public service.
I’m certain they’ll take the suggestion.
Wait until the midwives start suggesting it should be a home birth.
Oh, I wouldn’t be surprised if they did it. Of course they would sneak the private docs and equipment in the back door.
If the NHS is so great, why should it matter?
Good point. Why have sensational sales pitches if your product sells itself?
Pretty sure they wouldn’t exactly receive random healthcare providers even if they went to the NHS. Plus, they have a legit need for privacy from the media and crazies, which is easier to coordinate in a private hospital.
“But imagine the message they would send ”
No tard babies for us? That’s a strong message.
Better signaling – NHS now covers pets.
Sky, huh? The only good thing about Sky is that they sponsor Froome’s team – and that’s mostly good because the pinko cycling hipsters *hate* Froome. Hope you enjoyed the Vuelta, assholes.
Does security shut everything down for the Prince like they do for the Prez? Sucks to be you if your appointment gets bumped.
“…But imagine the message they would send if they used the NHS maternity facilities round the corner instead.”
Maybe they’ll fool a few of the plebs into thinking that the NHS isn’t a complete dumpster fire. Fucking perfect.
Anybody else watch the debut of “The Orville”? (Seth MacFarlane’s Star Trekkish spoof series.) I admit I enjoyed it more than I should have.
Let’s see how long he can keep it up. At least the fact that it’s set 400 years in the future should prevent 2017 political talk from dominating the series. I hope.
Don’t cross your fingers. 1,000 years of separation isn’t enough for political hacks.
Oh my. I was unaware. Thanks, I guess.
Huh. I’ve seen commercials but had no idea when or where it was even on. Might check it out. I fear it might tread too much on the genius that was Galaxy Quest, though.
Naw, it was pretty different from Galaxy Quest. Missing the has-been actors subsisting on NerdCons and such (and of course, Alan Rickman). This was more like Star Trek Next Gen but with more realistic characters instead of perfect types. Comic potential, but the underlying impression that I get is that Seth obviously really wanted to be a starship captain when he grew up, so now is his moment. The fact that it is a comedy means that it’s OK to introduce the full cast of stereotypes: alien with superhuman strength, strange alien with no sense of humor, cocksure pilot, brilliant lady doctor, etc. And Norm MacDonald as a blob of some kind.
One is an android looking species among the first of his type to join the Union who is asked by Captain Seth “But isn’t your species famously racist?” No doubt setting up some future hijinx.
You would hope so, but the ST folks have said that the next movie is going to use the Klingons as a metaphor for Trump voters.
Get out.
Does that mean they will keep flogging the cashless, utopian, implied-socialist dreamworld that ST:NG tried to present?
I remember an episode of TNG has a ship named the Biko. You think anybody born in the last 30 years gets the reference?
Ugh i hate everything
Well, wouldn’t that just fit with how the reboot Trek movies suck anyway?
Hell, they might was well add Captain Jack Sparrow to the crew.
I thought it was decent: B/B+.
SPOILER:
I thought the line from the women who was the security chief was pretty good (paraphrase): “not many of my species join up so the union likes to move us up the ladder pretty quick.”
I need to calibrate my Raven Nation meter:
What did you think of this?
Haven’t seen it, sorry.
Funny that I heard “the union” and interpreted it as “the Union”, their name for the equivalent of Star Trek’s Federation of Planets. But it takes on a more cynical meaning if you read it as labor union, as you illustrate!
Hah! My signal was cutting in and out and so I didn’t realize there was a Union and thought she meant union. However, I did realize later on in the show. But it’s possible Seth’s using it both ways.
I figured it was signaling they were the non-racist blue shirts fighting Trumpista evil in a new galaxy. Y’know since every form of art has to be part of “The Resistance” now. Kind of like Soviet Russia or North Korea.
Resist we much?
That’s nice, but will it work under water?
As Hurricane Irma was bearing down on Florida, Tesla Inc. sent a free software update extending the battery capacity for some of its vehicles, giving those owners extra range to flee the looming storm.
The update temporarily unlocked the full battery potential for 75-kilowatt-hour Model S sedans and Model X SUVs, adding another 30 to 40 miles to their range. The upgrade was first reported Saturday by the electric-car blog Electrek.
Starting in 2016, Tesla offered cheaper versions of the Model S and Model X with limited battery capacity. While they have a 75-kWh battery, software on those versions limits customers to using about 80% of available power, with a range of 200 to 230 miles per charge. Normally, unlocking the extra capacity costs about $3,000.
A Tesla spokesperson on Sunday confirmed the upgrade.
The change was apparently made after a Tesla owner in Florida reached out to the company and asked for a temporary upgrade to make it out of the evacuation zone. The upgrade for those Florida customers will remain in place until Sept. 16.
According to the blog Tesla Motors Club, the company sent a note to the owners who were upgraded, saying: “Due to these exceptional circumstances, and to help you better prepare to evacuate and get to safety, your vehicle has been adjusted at no cost to you to temporarily access the additional battery capacity until September 16th. You will notice the badging on the instrument cluster will read 75 during this period. We hope that this allows you to travel to your next destination with confidence and ease.”
When can I get me one of then technological marvels?
And they don’t normally have access to the full battery capacity because…Elon Musk is a greedy con artist?
So the technology my tax dollars subsidize for rich people is crippled? That’s fantastic.
I figure anyone who is dumb enough to buy an electric car deserves what they get.
That’s not creepy at all.
adding another 30 to 40 miles to their range
“Tell us Chief, how did that man die?” “Well, he had to wait ten hours to charge his car and he drowned.”
unlocking the extra capacity costs about $3,000.
That is similar to the extra I had to pay to be able to put the 35 gal of gas in the truck that the tank is designed to hold. What assholes. I got a filthy $3 in quarters I found in my cup holder that the batteries catch on fire when you charge them to extra capacity.
As an electrical engineer who works with lithium-ion and lithium iron phosphate batteries in military applications (land and sea), I will freely tell you that you can have my personally owned internal combustion engine vehicles when you peel my cold dead hands off the steering wheels.
My 2000 V8 Ford Expedition (with shitty mileage) still gets me further than a freaking Tesla on one tank, and it can tow stuff too. We’ve already decided that when it croaks, we’re going to have a sweet resto-mod on it rather than get some overly computerized gov’t throttled and tracked piece of crap.
Thank you for confirming my non-engineer suspicions. I have a 2002 Excursion with the V-10. When it goes I am hoping to go more retro if I don’t go a refit.
Oooh! An Excursion! You could fit an entire Ford Escape inside one of those babies. Discontinued though, right? (Thanks, EPA.) But I’d love to see what a really pro team of resto guys could do to up the gas mileage of an Excursion.
One of the things I am adamant about is not replacing tactile knobs for radio and climate with a dang lit-up LED screen where you have to take your eyes off the road just to get to the right menu to change the dang channel. And I vastly prefer Ford’s model of giving control over climate in the form of a knob for “how hard do you want the air to blow” and a separate knob for “how hot/cold do you want that air”. Way better than choosing a temperature and being subjected to the car’s idea of the proper airflow and temp to achieve it.
And get off my lawn before I run over you in 4×4 mode.
Toyota Sienna. 8 seats. Jealous much?
No. I have a 4×4 – 4 door jeep with the off road suspension.

***
Isatai’i (Comanche isa ‘wolf or coyote’ + tai’i ‘vagina’) or Isatai (c.1840 – 1916) was a Comanche warrior and medicine man of the Kwaharʉ band. Originally named Kwihnai Tosabitʉ (White Eagle), after the debacle at Adobe Walls on June 27, 1874, for which he was blamed, he was known as Isatai’i.

White Eagle to Wolf Vagina. Harsh.
Well, to be fair, Adobe Walls was a cock-up of the first order. He’s lucky he got off so lightly.
Better than Strong Bear getting demoted to Squirrel Taint. Now that sucks.

The Souldiers Pocket Bible (lacking a possessive apostrophe in the title) was first issued in 1643 to Cromwell’s army and was put in general use among his soldiers.
…
The The Souldiers Pocket Bible had just 16 pages that contained some 150 verse quotations from the Geneva Bible,[10][11] all related to war.[6] All but four of the verses were from the Old Testament.[12] Verses intended to inspire the morale of Cromwell’s soldiers included the following from the Geneva Bible:
Deuteronomy 20:4 – For the Lord your God goeth with you, to fight for you against your enemies, and to save you.
Exodus 14:14 – The Lord shall fight for you.[13]

I’m still going with Ezekiel 23:20.
The Raiders were looking damn sharp today. I think they are going to be one of the top four teams in the NFL this year. I like their new field goal kicker, he started off stellar today.
ERMRGRD.
Oh, really?
What, now? Life preparation, mental & physical health, nutrition and basic life skills sound like something you should learn from your FAMILY. Or even your religious or geographic community. Please don’t make this a Gov’t function through school…
Seriously. All that stuff you should be picking up along the way. You can’t fucking teach it in a classroom. That reminds me of way back when in college, my roommate was taking a class in entrepreneurship. I remember thinking, “how can they teach you that in class? you start a business and work your ass off to make it succeed.” It still sounds infinitely less ludicrous than a class in life preparation.
SMDH.
Just watched the first episode of the new season of Bojack Horseman. It’s ok, decently funny. No SJW shit… at least so far. That was one of the things I liked about the show was its (surprisingly) deft and even-handed treatment of politics and the absurdity of celebrity culture. That was all shattered with their ridiculous abortion episode. However, I’ll give it a shot this season.
Still pales in comparison to Rick and Morty. And South Park.
Its not a good season IMHO, but not for political reasons. I don’t want to spoil anything, but there is a subplot arch that involves the 2A that mainly sets up a joke.
Anyway, the reason I didn’t like it was because it went full Harmon/Scrubs. It always dabbled with drama but this season it just pulled in, parked, and tailgated in the Drama Lot.
Lame. Is it worth watching?
Why not? You already subscribed to Netflix, what else are you going to do?
I have a high tolerance for bad TV, though. Right now watching new Narcos, which I was surprised to see given how the last season ended (SPOILER ALERT: Escobar doesn’t make it). After this I’ll probably go back to choking down Legends or some shit.
I read that the Narcos creators had a whole concept planned in which they would trace from Escobar to current Mexican cartels. They never thought that it would get green lighted that far, but after the first season was such a hit, it’s probably going to happen.
It’s not on Netflix (or any streaming service AFAIK) but you should pick up Northern Exposure on Amazon used. One of my top five shows of all time and surprisingly few people know it.
Also: Jorge’s wife in the new Narcos is insanely gorgeous.
I remember Northern Exposure being a big deal when it was first airing. My pick for shows that no one remembers includes Max Headroom and Nowhere Man.
We didn’t have a UPN affiliate, so we got Nowhere Man on the Fox affiliate Sunday nights after prime time. Dealing with the football time shift was a pain in the first half of the season. 🙁
I dunno, shows set in northern climes that don’t involve prehistoric mind control wasps leave me wanting…
Also, agreedo on Jorge’s wife
I just finished the new season of Bojack myself. I enjoyed it, it’s nowhere near as good as the 3rd season, but still a solid show. The comedy is tuned down with the main plots taking the forefront.

The ancient Greeks regarded masturbation as a normal and healthy substitute for other forms of sexual pleasure.[4] They considered it a safety valve against destructive sexual frustration.[4] The Greeks also dealt with female masturbation in both their art and writings. One common term used for it was anaphlan, which roughly translates as “up-fire”.[citation needed]
Diogenes is said to have masturbated in public.[5] On the indecency of him masturbating in public he would say, “If only it were as easy to banish hunger by rubbing my belly.”

How long until SJWs consider masturbation “self-rape”?
I’m sure that somewhere, there’s a women’s studies major who is furiously typing an article about how the use of rubber penises for vaginal stimulation is somehow furthering the patriarchy.
Also, promise me Derp that once you get deployed you’re not going to pull a Diogenes.

I tuned into the Dak Prescott Show tonight; turns out it was a rerun from last year. I don’t know what he lacks as a QB, but patience and poise remain his strengths.
today I learned:

There is no such thing as an “alpha” in a wolf pack. An early study that coined the term “alpha wolf” had only observed unrelated adult wolves living in captivity. In the wild, wolf packs operate more like human families: there is no defined sense of rank, parents are in charge until the young grow up and start their own families, younger wolves do not overthrow an “alpha” to become the new leader, and social dominance fights are situational.

Yeah, I’ve read that before. Also reason #Eleventy Skillion why PUA theory is complete horseshit.
You know who writes Wikipedia entries? Betas who can’t pick up chicks.
I read that entire article, and it was well worth it. I liked the one about how cowboy hats were not actually standard menswear in the American West and that derby/bowler hats were far more common. As a wearer of weird antiquated hats, this knowledge changes my life.
Alright, since it’s just us failures still around tonight:
Anyone ever heard of Dopamine Agonist Withdrawal Syndrome (DAWS)?
I’ve been considering using dopamine agonists but this sounds pretty terrifying. Insight?
I’m not a Dr. But from what I understand, messing with dopamine Is going to mess with people’s risk vs reward behavior. So the idea that people who weren’t getting that much dopamine then suddenly getting a rush might cause some people to go a bit wild isn’t absurd. That said, looking it up, there’s a lot of fearmongering involved. And most of sites doing the reporting the story I’ve never heard of before, and doing some reverse DNS lookups and some Whois lookups, a lot of them track back to Florida, which screams Scientology to me.
If you are that worried ask for a second opinion, which is always a reasonable precaution.
