I’m still convinced that the Buckeyes got screwed by the committee, but whatever. I can’t stew on it forever. And for all I know I’m about to drive to Dallas (I know its in Arlington for the “well, actually” folks out there) and watch them lay an egg tonight from club level seats. But whatever. The Big Ten looks good so far in the bowl games. I hope that trend continues into this evening.
I don’t know much else about sports right now. I’ve been so damn busy with familial responsibilities and the holidays (see the photo below of my entire extended family together for the first time ever at my parents’ 50th Wedding Anniversary) and traveling and now I’m getting more work done this week than any week throughout the year, with the exception of the last auction week. Finishing on a high note and next week looks like its gonna start 2018 on a pretty high note as well.
So that’s why I’ve been gone and you guys have been treated to better links than I could have provided on my best of days. Well, so solly, because I’m back now! So you’re gonna have to live with me bringing you…the links!
You want to know the main reason I think Donald Trump is awesome? Because he does shit like this whenever he feels like it and the retards go full retard. I mean…its pure genius.
New York’s Finest doing what they do. What is it with those guys and apartment stairwells? Either they’re shooting people walking through one or they don’t even bother checking on a woman who gets strangled to death in it. (Bonus DM Links: Aw, nuts!)
I sure hope this happens. Although I hope the politics and influence on lawmakers doesn’t migrate as well. And to be honest, I don’t think it will. Because every time coastal elitists get outside their bubbles and visit cities in the heartland, they find…normal people living normal lives. And of course lower cost of living. And lower taxes. And less intrusive governments. And basically more of all the good stuff…except for those icky guns that are everywhere, although the crime rates are lower, so they stop worrying about them until their editors remind them of how evil and dangerous they are.
What the fuck is wrong with people? I don’t have anything “clever: to add. This is just assholes being assholes.
You know, there’s another option. You could always just choose to END THE DAMN PROGRAMS!!! But that might lead to a few less people dependent on government largesse. And we can’t have that, can we?
Yes, there is a slideshow involved. But they also have the good taste to give a list in the article of all the famous and infamous people that died in 2017. And since this is my final links of the year, I thought I’d post it.
Final links of the year for me…wow. I gotta be honest, you people have helped make 2017 the greatest year of my life. The people who put this project together are some of my dearest friends and the work they have done is a testament to their skill, dedication and desire to make what has become an integral part of my life such a successful venture. I can’t sing their praises loud enough and can’t come up with the words that express how thoroughly grateful I am to them for everything they’ve done. As for those of you who contribute your works, you guys have been an incredible addition and have expanded my knowledge in countless ways. The additions you have made not only inform, but they spur debate and increase the level of participation by an incredible amount. And those of you who comment have likewise increased my knowledge, have entertained me and have helped grow something I am so very proud to be a part of. Lastly, to the lurkers: get off your asses!
Seriously, this has been a great year for me personally and professionally. I’ve lost things dear to me, sure. But my children are happy and healthy. My wife is happy and healthy. My friendships have grown. My business is thriving. And we beat Michigan again. Here’s to 2017!
And I Thank You.
So, you could say they are hooked, eh?
YEEEEEAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!
Damn….forgot *dons sunglasses*

That link regarding the kid that got set up? Public hanging for the lot of them. I knew people like that peripherally when I was a young Festus and it is their mission in life to rape, rob and sometimes even murder if they aren’t swatted like flies.
Agreed. And leave their bodies hanging at the city entrance right next to the Kiwanis Club sign for a month as a warning.
Gibbets.
There is a flaw with the way the heating was retrofitted into my house. There’s no cold air return near floor level, the main intake is in the ceiling – as are the heat vents. The only thing extracting cold air from lower down is the furance itself, when it need to feed the burners.
Half tempted to put a duct in from the air intake to the floor level just to improve the heat flow. It’d be ugly and take up space in the living room, but it’d remove the thermal differential between the floor and ceiling a bit better.
What poor engineering. That would work fine in southern climes where the need for heat is much lower than a need for cold air. In the north, it makes no sense.
The furnace was not original to the house. They ran flexible ducting through the ‘attic’ crawlspace for distribution. I don’t know what the original heat was, but it was originally built around the start of the first world war.
I have the same issue. The lazy ass folks who put in the electric HVAC stuck it up in the attic so they didn’t have to remove the boiler in the basement. As a result, the basement isn’t heated and the return is in the ceiling along with the registers. That, in combination with only one ceiling fan throughout the entire house, results in all sorts of hot and cold layers and pockets. I thought that blowing some insulation into the attic would fix the issues, but it has not.
Last time I changed the filter, I noticed that the actual intake duct for the ‘cold’ air return was wide but short. I wonder how much it would be to get the wall opened up, that duct extended down to floor level and drywall put back over it. The air volume would not be significantly impeded by being stuck in the sixteen inches between studs, and it’s not like it’s an exterior wall (so insulation isn’t as important)
You can always put two ducts in and combine them into one in the attic. My old house had 4 ducts all in the same general area that combined together in the attic.
The vents are up high? Weird. Are you on a slab?
I have a half basement. The front half of the house has almost nothing below the floor between it and the dirt – including the spot where the furnace sits. The funny thing is, the one low vent is in that area in the front ‘porch’. (it’s a fully-enclosed room with complete walls) I guess someone was trying to be cheap and didn’t want to rip up the walls.
My basement has this exact problem. The main intake is in the basement ceiling, along with all the basement vents. I’ve actually been able to make mine a lot better by installing a heavy curtain across the bottom of the stairs. Air getting drawn down the stairs now goes to the floor before hitting the intake, and more warm air stays in the basement.
Actually helps in the summer too, because the basement gets like an icebox when the A/C is on.
My house has one cold air return. There was a second – at one time – but apparently it was just uh, drywalled over. This house was a rental for ~25 years before I bought it, so lots of little weirdness, not to mention some real cheapskate fixes. I’ve replaced all the lights, light switches and plates, outlets and plates, the front door, and ripped out the upstairs ugly carpeting after I found out it was oak flooring underneath.
Next – new carpeting on the main floor and new trim. And new wood doors to replace the cheap fiberglass ones. And then… and then… and then… it never ends.
Boiler heat is passive, you have a forced air system, duh, But boilers are very expensive to remove, and the old ductwork isn’t useful for forced air, so the system goes in the attic, which is normal nowadays.
Except – there’s no boiler, anywhere. Nor any old ductwork. The furnace proper sits in a closet with rather new ducting run in the attic, mainly in the form of flexible duct hoses.
And as marijuana money was increasing, I saw a chance to change the trajectory of some of those programs, instead of seeing them decline just as tobacco money was doing.”

Quite the opposite in my experience. Cuddles and food talk do show a definite statistical up-tick. Whatever the cat is doing becomes much more interesting.
Every time I ever smoked weed, I became an inspired artist and made great drawings. Oddly, when I looked at them when I was not high, they were… really bad, ok. I also made up some great guitar licks and then I couldn’t remember any of them.

The problem is that I was going to start recording the stuff so I wouldn’t forget it, but then I got high… and forgot to turn the recorder on.

Classic New York City government efficiency from Instapundit (and New York Times).
I would love a job where I tell my boss what I want (money, working hours, etc.) and he gives me it without question.
I’m basically self-employed and I don’t even get that deal.
You need to unionize.
That’s the bullshit line right there. The public officials don’t want to curb the costs. Most of them are on the take and working with unions to make certain that there are 50% more people on the job than are necessary. It’s the construction companies that don’t really have much choice in the matter, they either go along to get along or they don’t get the contract or end up dead.
This line seems to tell a different tale:
And who created the legal/regulatory framework whereby that is possible? Don’t get me wrong, the construction companies are corrupt. But the power lies with the government, and they have created a system by which the construction companies must be corrupt in order to get the work.
Yeah, I can’t disagree with that. I just hope the NYT of all people pointing out to the smart set that we’re ten times more corrupt than London or Paris will somehow lead to change.
In the public sector, success is measured by the size of your budget and number of personnel. There is no incentive to control either.
Sorry to those affected, but maybe ending SALT deductions will put an end to this sort of thing.
Bit surprised to see this in the NYT. I mean, it goes against they believe in.
Not including the portions of tunnel that were built in the early 70s.

solutions women desperately need.- kill all white males?
Like what? Like legislation designed specifically for women such as the “Violence Against Women Act”? The federal Office of Women’s Business Ownership that gives resources to female entrepreneurs? Countless corporations that have “diversity” programs that fast-track women into leadership roles? The EOCC’s investigation of discriminatory hiring or disparate pay rates for female employees? The positively misandrist environment of most universities? The numerous scholarships that are specifically for women? The tendency for women to get lighter prison sentences than men who commit similar crimes? The fact that the overwhelming majority of workplace deaths, suicides, homicides, and incarcerations are men? The fact that women don’t have to register for the draft? The higher rates of job satisfaction among women?
If women are oppressed in the Western World, I’m just not seeing it.

County Attorney Mike Freeman says there will be no decision on whether to charge police officer who shot Mohamed Noor this year.
He does assure us that he will make a decision in 2018 though.
He holds that finger in the wind much longer, it will get frostbite.
He’s going to let the outrage die down a bit more and then quietly announce no charges will be filed.
“If you have a badge, you can shoot anyone, at any time, for any reason…just say ‘I was afraid’ and you are off, Scot free!”
Ah well, if she didn’t want to get shot she shouldn’t have walked up to the car.
It is more important to

Sadly, his near decapitation of his partner is the only reason he isn’t 100% guaranteed to walk. That was so fucking dumb and reckless that even the cops aren’t willing to back him.
If he had shot her out his own window? He’d already be exonerated.
As little as five years ago, I was saying that we’d get meaningful police reform once the police get around to shooting cute white girls in the suburbs.
Sadly, it looks like the phrase, “Comply and you won’t get shot!” is too deeply embedded for even dead white chicks to excise…

This reminds me of the campus freakouts over the white lives matter flyers that appeared around the country earlier this year. Identity Europa did an excellent job of trolling the mayor and the police force with something that was innocuous and inoffensive to anyone who isn’t a histrionic grievance-monger.
I found sticky-notes that said “white lives matter, too” all over the place at my heavily leftist workplace. Libertarian Moment?
Only if you’re the one who planted them.
Were you the one that put them up?
Fuck no. I keep my thoughts to myself. Did you not read the part of my comment that described a “heavily leftist” workplace? That’s why it stuck out. Thundering horses and unicorns and what-not. Libertarian Moment was just an add-on. I’ve explained the joke and thus it has lost all of its humour, much like when Alan Alda became the muse for M*A*S*H.

Trump’s strange handshakes had allies rattled in 2017. World leaders soon adapted.
At least he doesn’t kowtow like the previous president was prone to do.
What on Earth do you mean?
I could dig up a montage of Barry bowing to every world leader like a grovelling penitent…
But you did it for me while I was composing that.
What a dumbass.
In many countries, men will kiss other men in greeting. But these cucks get weirded out by Trump pulling someone marginally closer when shaking hands? It’s a pretty normal way to greet someone and signal that you hope your relationship with them grows stronger.
These people have never traveled anywhere or met anyone outside their bubbles.
There’s also the complicating factors is that Trump is a notorious germophobe, so perhaps he overcompensates in an “in for a penny, in for a pound” sense. A proper body language guy (or gal) might be able to provide a meaningful analysis, but I wouldn’t trust the WaPo to do it.
Eh. Sometimes bigger men try to do the dominance thing. He does act like an ass-hat when he pulls these shennanigans. I’m not small but I have mighty “Works with his hands hands”. They back off pretty quickly. Trump is doing this to people that have never worked a day in their life so it gets noticed. Hell he could get down on his knees and blow Justin and the MSM would laugh at his clumsy technique.

RE: The EconTalk episode I was discussing yesterday. I still haven’t finished it, but about 90% done now. I got to the craft beer portion which proves the exact opposite of the point the guest was trying to make about it. Fortunately, Russ called him out hard on it. But the guy didnt back down.
I don’t have anything good to say about AB/InBev’s business practices. I am can’t rant about some of them (100% share of mind program) for long periods of time. And, yes, the big guys have gotten their fingers into some craft breweries. But there are 6000 or however many, and they are involved with a dozen or two at most. And according to Brewers Association definition, if their is more than 25%(?) ownership outside the craft industry, it isn’t craft anymore, so technically they arent involved with any craft breweries (other than some small levels – I think it was Coors that loaned Terrapin expansion money with a Terrapin option to convert it to ownership instead of paying it back, which I believe they did, but at like 10% level).
Anyway, it is possibly one of my least favorite econtalk episodes ever, but it is good to hear Roberts break out of his normal mode of not pushing too hard against proggy guests.
No, Terrapin got acquired MillerCoors. And you’re right on the percentage, you may be able to get up to 3 dozen depending on who you count as big guys (do Duvel, Heineken, and Constellation count?).
I didnt know they had bought the rest.
Kind of what happened with Goose. CBA bought a minority interest, then AB/Inbev bought it out entirely.
I was specifically not counting Duvel, just because.
Duvel broke my heart.
They bought my favorite american brewery (Ommegang), but didn’t seem to be influencing things too badly — until this month, when I bought a sampler pack. One of the beers in it was labelled Ommegang, but brewed elsewhere.
Neither Ommegang nor Boulevard had been changed, as far as I could tell.
There is going to be more and more mergers, its just natural. Breweries need money to grow and it is a hard business to cash flow growth.
If I had the money to do it, I would try to be the Berkshire Hathaway of craft beer. Provide an exit path and growth funding.
This one:
https://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/42/188719/
brewed at a “sister brewery.”
Admittedly, it’s pretty good… but it’s not Ommegang dammit!
Off the top of my head, Duvel just purchased Ommegang, Boulevard, and Firestone-Walker. All three are solid, and still make outstanding beers. The one purchase that surprised me was that Founder’s got bought by a Spanish brewery (Mahou San Miguel) several years back. The only reason I noticed it was that the news story that crossed my feed about the same brewery buying a stake in Avery.
I still get annoyed when I think of the Lagunitas acquisition, just because the owner was bitching about other breweries selling out before he sold a portion of his brewery to Heineken (who has completely acquired it at this point).
Wasn’t the Founders one a minority position? IIRC, it was primarily done to get them into the European market.
The stories I saw said 30% (enough to get them removed from the BA). I was entertained when the girlfriend and I were in Dublin, one of the bars we went to was advertising a Founder’s tap takeover.
I’m still a bit surprised that there’s been no acquisitions of Ohio breweries yet. Considering Sam Adams, ABInBev, and MillerCoors all have breweries in the state already. This year I believe we had 7 breweries close state wide, with more then that opening just in the Cleveland market. And we’ve got two of the best cities for beer drinkers in the country.
Could also label that list as miserable places to live.
One of the Founder’s owner(s) has a house a 6-7 blocks from mine. It’s a huge mansion built to some weird 14th century look. I often run by it when I’m doing my 3-mile jog.
(I live in the ‘bleacher’ section of town – overpriced affordability)
Speaking of MillerCoors…
I’m a regular listener, but the new baby and holiday season has me behind.
I agree with you in wishing Rus would be more aggressive in countering the frequent nonsense guests spew, but I assume most of his listeners are either us, and know the counters already, or are fence-sitters who would be turned off by the aggression.
I’m relatively happy with his style honestly.
I saw an interview where he mentions that he usually pushes harder on those he agrees with as an intentional style. This episode is a weird exception.
I think people get too hung up on what is a craft/in dependent brewery. The fact of the matter is the movement itself has created a market sizable enough the largest players are noticing their product isn’t going to cut it in that market. Either they improve their product (HA!) or they acquire somebody that can.
As long as they don’t screw with the beer itself I have no problem, and they wouldn’t do that unless it stopped selling.
I used to think people made rational decisions. But now I know I was wrong

The value of calm reasoning – the cornerstone of democracy – is acknowledged rarely today. – when the fuck was calm reason the cornerstone of democracy? there are who schools of though dedicated to how people act even more irrational that usual; when it comes to politics.
Debating is a great way of exploring an issue when there is real room for doubt and nuance. But when a conclusion can be reached simply by assembling a mountain of known facts, debating is just a means of pitting the rational against the irrational. – I wonder which facts those are
In other words, debating is fine as long as it’s within the confines of what I said.
Just acknowledge what a bigot you are so we can get on with discussing what a bigot you are.
You guys are some real master debaters.
Has anyone noticed that “problematic” has become the new “politically incorrect”? I recall “politically correct” when it used to be an unironic term, coined by the left, that was seen as a positive endorsement of a person or idea. Over time, it became mocked, and therefore abandoned by the left – the new “politically incorrect” (wrongthink) is “problematic”.
I was wondering why the word made me cringe every time I read it.
You’re behind the times. “Problematic” is already being used ironically on a regular basis
I read “problematic” in Paris Hilton’s “that’s hot” voice.
I haven’t forgotten that unwarranted attack on me yesterday sir.

I hate that word.
Oh. Well that is going to be problematic. Please report to the closest re-education camp.
I have a show concept that is titled “Problematic” — I’ve just outlined the pilot, not much else yet.
Calm reasoning – the process of refusing to hold a referendum on fundamental constitutional changes for forty years, then having an eighteen month (and counting) tantrum when the one that was held doesn’t go the way you want.
The pretence that Brexit was some sort of freak result that could be ignored is not only wrong, it’s also been pretty damaging for the Europhile establishment. If they had been properly scheming then they could at least have tried to interpret the vote in a way that suited them.

Newsweek. I think they’re just trolling at this point.
Winters in Japan are not that cold. How less cold do you want them?
It was pretty cold in Tokyo last week. Got down to about 5C.
41? you’re calling 41 cold? That’s not even coat weather.
Central heating is a rarity here. Subtract about 5-10 degrees just for that.
Even in newer buildings? I thought having to rebuild bombed out cities would have provided the perfect excuse to upgrade the amenities.
Office buildings will have it. Schools and homes? Nope.
Okay – why not?
What am I, an HVAC historian?
I was hoping you might have gleaned some insight from having to deal with it each “winter”.
It may be a traditional thing. They used to use these heated tables with blankets called “kotatsu”. Maybe that’s why they don’t feel the need to have heating in the whole house.
Heating buildings built entirely of thin wood and paper is tricky?

I’ve seen a lot of those ductless heat pumps all over the place (including on tops of large stores), and where ever they can go on older residential buildings like on fire escapes blocking doors from fully opening.
No real insight either, but if you’ve got a heated washlet to put your ass on and places with heating have it turned up to humid blast furnace, why pay yen at home for heat?

It is currently 0 degrees here. Wind chill of… 2 degrees? Well, I guess a warm breeze blows.
Fortunately, a more sane forecast for later, a balmy 14 degrees with a wind chill of three.
It was 13F this morning. Compared to yesterday’s 0F, positively clement.
We’re at about 4 deg. Brisk.
43 degrees now. Should get to 81 today.
Sounds awful. Poor bastard.
It is. Every year I am torn between acknowledging the boost to the local economy and telling the snowbirds to go back to the frozen hell they came from.
It touched -31 here.
Very gay.
It was just the tip! Seriously, it’s pretty cold here too. Slipped down the stairs, fucked my “good” shoulder and various other parts whilst making sure the vehicles were plugged in last night. Looks like minus 30 for the next week or so.
That’s some cold gay.
I’m not a Gay but I play one for shits and giggles on Glibertarians.Shitlord.
Are you talking Celsius? It got to -28 metric last night and we’re supposed to hit -33 metric tomorrow night. Very gay, indeed.
Yes. C.
In truth, when shit is that cold C or F don’t matter a whole lot.
Good point. Tomorrow night will be either “9” or “-13” here. *shrug*
You might already know this, but −40 is the same temperature in Fahrenheit and Celsius.
That is the cold, hard truth.

So every leading man from classic film is a rapist now?
“I think Donald Trump is awesome”
Not sure I’d go that far, but he’s already deregulated and cut taxes more than the LP candidate probably would have. I’ll allow that he’s awesomely hilarious, too.
Donald Trump is the creamy center of the Oreo. Someone has to eat all of those brown wafers, eventually. If it’s the neighbour’s dog, so be it.
Flipping thru slidshow (ugh):
Benson died!?!
Damn.
Speaking of that list, Ara Parseghian reminded me of this:
Fun fact, when doing genetic testing before doing IVF to get my daughter, it turns out I am a carrier for Niemann-Pick Type C. I have, as far as I know, no ancestors from any of the groups for which it is common. I am not even sure which side of my family I got it from.
There has been some discussion of doing some more testing to track it down, but it isnt a big deal as long as I dont try to have kids with Bedouins or French Canadians.
Paul O’Neill died. But not that one. Or that one either. It was the 3rd string Paul O’Neill.
Armstrong is dead, Cernan is dead, how many of the 10 in between them are still alive?
Did you do it by mail, with a service like 23andme, or with a doctor?
With a doctor. It was a test for some large number of standard genetic problems, done on my wife and I by the fertility clinic (well, not by them, they send it off, but they drew the blood).
I have all four seasons of Soap – great show, if not a little dated. Well I should say the first two seasons are great, never made it all the way through the third, and have never started the fourth.
I had a thing for the brunette daughter. Of course I was about thirteen when the show started so “I had a thing” should be taken with a pound of salt.
Diana Canova? She teaches theater in the next town over from me. Very nice lady.
Now I feel bad for making a masturbatory reference to the nice lady. Double bad for the actual self-sinning. Fuck you, #6!
No, she’s very friendly, and still pretty attractive for a 64 year old . I guess I would have been in my early 20’s when SOAP made it to the UK. I’m in heated agreement with you, and salute your excellent taste in chicks.
No, he’s talking about Billy Crystal.

Rather than address the structural conditions that have made anti-government militias a permanent presence in the US, but not in any other advanced democracy – oh yes those dreaded militias that are everywhere. And everyone knows civilization means mindless worship and acceptance of government.
However, for years surveys have shown that strong authoritarian, nativist and populist positions command pluralities, if not majorities, among Republican supporters. – the left is totes not authoritarian, they just want the individual totally subjected to the collective represented by government that controls every aspect of ones life.
US has seen far-right challenges in the form of the second coming of the Ku Klux Klan, which claimed the support of almost 15% of the population in the 1920s, the anti-desegregation campaign of Alabama governor George Wallace, who won 13.5% of national votes and five (southern) states as a third-party candidate in the 1968 presidential elections, to the Tea Party just a few years ago, in many ways laying the foundations for Trump’s presidency. – how does one define far right again?
Rejecting the axioms of international socialism, comrade.
Anyone right of Bernie Sanders is a far right extremist. Anyone else notice that you never hear about any far left extremists from the media?
I love the implication in the last quote. KKK, *mumble, mumble*, Tea Party. The history of the political right.
They left out Nazis.
No, they didn’t. It says “Tea Party”, right there.
Some of those militia groups have dozens of members. Dozens!
I saw three of them on my way to work just yesterday.
“he anti-desegregation campaign of Alabama governor George Wallace, who won 13.5% of national votes and five (southern) states as a third-party candidate in the 1968 presidential elections,”
That guy was a fucking Democrat.
Racism is right wing, everybody knows this. Anybody who’s a racist is right wing. Even communists.

Tax law creates confusion and uproar in city halls across America
Oh the humanity there’s blood pouring through the streets. People rioting everywhere! The Republicans could pass single payer healthcare and the media would find a way to bash it.
Not to worry, with all the death the repealing of Net Neutrality and the tax cuts are causing….there won’t be any cities left to be impacted.
People are bitching up a storm over at DU over net neutrality, but they seem to be a little confused, asking around if any one has noticed slower internet speeds, but no one has apparently.
Those Wiley ISPs! They are going to raise speeds, just to turn a profit!
Seriously though, most common objections to the free market, are because people have a stereotypical view of how businesses work, inculcated by public schools.
I don’t get this at all. For as long as I can remember I have heard leftists who claim they’re well off, saying that they want to pay more taxes. Well, here’s their chance, what are they bitching about? It must only be right wing nuts doing all this bitching.
You can tax my income, but not my tax shelter!!!!
People are gonna realize how much we are stealing from them!?!
112 UFO Sightings In New Jersey In 2017
Space aliens may have a bigger presence in New Jersey than you think. Read what people have reportedly seen over the past year.
Oh something has a presence in NJ but it isn’t aliens…
Not big enough.
The hair?
Te be fair, a Centauri would know more about aliens than the average human.
Needs to be Christie sized?!
Think of the bandwidth, Man!
Do you want the NN apocalypse to happen?
There’s an entire thread over at tos that’s just Hinn and buttface bitching about tax cuts. I don’t recommend anyone look at it, I’m sure I just lost a few IQ points.
People still go there??
I did for the first time in quite a while to read their article on the tax cut. And the comments are all Hinn and butthead. Sad.
The article itself isn’t bad, it’s just what you expect there, a lot of ‘but Trump’ thrown in for good measure.
I went recently and saw a post with comments in the triple digits. I thought “ah, here is a robust, interesting discussion”, clicked, and found out that Hihn character is now bolding every word in his posts. When everything is a priority…
In the thread with him and buttface, he’s posting long multi-part screeds that I can’t even make any sense out of, it’s just incoherent rambling about how bad libertarians and tax cuts are. There’s something seriously wrong with that dude.
Hihn is a sorry sack of shit if I’ve ever seen one. I used to feel bad for the guy before I figured out he’s a lunatic AND an asshole.
BULLY!
Hey! How can you say that about the One True Libertarian. Just ask him.
Hihn’s called me a “psychotic liar”*, “stalker”, and “bully” all at once. Sadly, I did not make his top list of H&R fascists, which makes me feel like I didn’t put in enough effort.
* = I did once get a correction out of him after he called me a liar, but his conciliatory attitude was short lived
I made some comment in the PM links about him going into the AM links and corpse-fucking the thread.
He later came around a corpse-fucked that comment, calling me a stalker.

Whypipo ruin everything.
White kids shouldn’t be learning another language, it’s cultural appropriation when they do it!
That would have saved me a lot of trouble in high school French class.
I grooved on high school French. It was the last period before freedom and I slept through most of it. I went on an exchange program to Montreal (I was chosen for some random reason) so I had pidgin French. Could never speak the language, can still read it in a pinch. My Grade 12 French teacher returned a bag of weed to me that dropped from my pocket while we were on a field trip. This is 1982 so I’m thinking he didn’t want to deal with the hassle. Cool guy!
If only we had a final solution to stop white people from ruining everything.
I wish they’d just settle on one damn narrative.
Participate, don’t participate, spend money, don’t spend money, no matter what happens it’s always a goddamn “problem”.
I’m not wading through that gobbledygook but I thought bilingual education was long ago proven to lead to poor results? And now they’re putting native English speakers into it? W T F

Maybe this will be just the motivation I need to get back to teaching myself some coding, or maybe I’ll continue to be an entitled millennial and continue to barely contribute 🙂

Great. MORE PEOPLE?
You don’t need to code it, it already exists. Get Monocle.
Well, fine *kicks rocks*
Please please please contribute to Monocle if you want to do some light JS/JQuery coding. Let me know and I’ll plug you in.
Hey trash, does your extension rely on a website to store its data? I figured out yesterday that’s probably why reasonable stopped working at TOS – his website seems to be abandoned.
AFAIK it doesn’t…. and reasonable still works for me at TOS in both Chromium and Firefox. Not sure why it stopped working for some folks.
he appeared unaware of the distinction between weather and climate.
“It’s only climate when we say it is!”
One year of destructive hurricanes = climate,
12 years of meh hurricanes = weather.
I thought that Trump caused the hurricanes by pulling out of the climate accord?
Pulling out is the least effective method.
Exactly that. If it’s warm outside, that’s global climate change. If it’s colder than normal, that’s global climate change. Not sure why you deplorables can’t figure this out.
You forgot they say the same thing if the temperature stays the same.
That’s another line they love to use. It goes something like ‘YOU don’t know the difference between climate and weather. Someone isn’t getting into Bovine University,’ followed by the roll of the eyes.
It’s just another of their hollow attempts at a comeback, since they have zero intentions of engaging anyone is debate. I always loved ‘you don’t even know what socialism is!’ and ‘I guess I’m going to have to side with the scientists’. I guess those are supposed to make one look smart.
Yeh, I had one prog basically say ‘shut up and be deferent to the climate scientists because experts’ and then praised Tyson and Nye for their work on making science popular. This nestled in between his thoroughly anti-authoritarian screeds (whenever his guy wasn’t in power). I couldn’t follow his trail of logic anymore.
Sagan and Feynman made science popular. Tyson and Nye are just fluffing the egos of people who already agreed with them.
Just checked my fartbook. I’m so sorry I did.
Just delete it. There is life on the other side, I promise.
I check it about once a month. It’s only there to make contact with certain people who refuse to use anything else to stay in touch.
I kept it for years for that reason. Turns out they were all capable of using email.
Ugh. Facebook was super fun until your family joins up. Most of those middle-aged ladies from High School? Yeah, they want to get fucked even if you”friend” them for innocent reasons. Embarrassing to have your daughter pipe up in the middle of a conversation and say “Look , Lady! He’s married so stop trying to fuck him!” The network was creepy and I’ve kept my on-line interaction much more under the radar since. Except for you people, whom I’m sure are not all rapists.
Oh Festus, How extravagant you are, throwing away women like that. Someday they may be scarce.
I’m a monogamous fellow. It is probably one of my only redeeming features. I have never cheated and never will. An Iron Law, if you will.

That’s my Katy! Fiercely independent and takes shit from no one. Probably thought she was “protecting” her Mom. I larfed, the lady that I was chatting with got huffy (Control your Daughter!) and then I deleted my account. Lesson fucking learned about “magic wands” and consequences.
According to SCIENCE! there are four types of nipples: protruding, flat, puffy, and inverted. Seems rather reductive since in my experience there’s significant overlap between these categories, but hey if you can score some federal grant money to stare at naked boobs categorizing nipples, more power to you.

I’ve been sort of out of the loop for the last few weeks, so forgive me if we have already covered this.
Did you hear about the crazy chick who ruined a bunch of art owned by a lawyer? No, seriously, did you guys talk about the attention whore AG’s who are going to sue over the repeal of the net neutrality laws?
Glad to see our local AG, Lori Swanson, is hopping on the bandwagon. I don’t know on what grounds they plan to sue, but they are going to do something to make the tards in their state happy.
It’s like the push to impeach Trump. There are no legit grounds to push it on, but by God they’re going to try it anyway!
You can join New York.
If Mueller finds nothing then rogue State A.G’s can start filing charges. Brave new world that they are backing themselves into. Can’t wait to see how this all plays out.
Rule 11 is not employed enough. Were I the judge, I would personally sanction everyone of these people.
“You are filing suit because a policy you like was undone by the agency that implemented it?”
“Yes, your Honor.”
“They voted it in, now they have voted it out….what is the legal issue here?”
“We don’t like it!!!!”
“Bailiffs, have counsel taken into custody.”
When Ginsberg kicks it, put ^this guy on the bench.
I mean forbid that these AG’s sue there local municipalities for granting monopolies to ISPs.
Or even that they shovel money to the monopolies to get broadband out to the sticks.
* Tina Smith is out Lt. Gov and will soon replace Franken. So don’t worry about our Senate delegation having a drop in derp after Al leaves.
check out some of those grants:
IIRC Ajit Pai said at one point that the FCC would oppose state efforts to introduce “net neutrality” policies. So, they might be suing over that. However, if this were a leftist position on an “interstate commerce” issue, no one not on the right would be debating the legitimacy of the FCC imposing its will on the states. The left has suddenly discovered federalism, if only for the next 3-7 years, whereupon they will promptly pretend it doesn’t exist any more.
OT, but looks like my wishlist just grew a bit, subject to reviews.
Nice. Just added this 8 rnd .357 to mine.

That is nice. What is it? a K frame?
I honestly don’t know the different S&W frames letter specs. It definitely looks different than other S&Ws I’ve seen though.
Oh .. N Frame. You have big hands.
::waggles eyebrows::
Lol
I’m not digging the aesthetics of the rail.
On the TRR8 version–its detachable.
So basically a Hi Point carbine but not shitty.
So nothing like a Hi-Point Carbine at all.
/Hi-point 995 owner.
I went shooting with this guy who was rather new to guns. He had bought a Hi+Point Carbine and was shooting it for the first time. It was literally falling apart while he shot it. The front site came loose almost right away, don’t recall what fell off next. It was sad.
Mine was not that bad. Hate the crappy rail, hate the fact that the flexy plastic body is the magazine well and catch, hate the fact that it’s direct blowback and blackens the brass. Liked the $115 price tag. And it has never actually failed to shoot.
There are a number of videos on the Youtube gun channels simultaneously hating and finding it difficult to break Hi-Points
They seem to be a modern version of the M3 grease gun.
Which were cheap pieces of shit, but impossible to break.
I was jonesin’ to get a Ruger PC9, but for what’s basically a bush gun, it’s hard to justify the kind of prices that they sell for. What with all the sellers claiming they’re rare (they aren’t, they’re just out of production) and all the retards that think they’re a super rifle (they aren’t, beyond short range.), I’d given up on internet/published sales and was just keeping my eyes open at pawn shops looking for a bargain.
This new one meets all my criteria the same way, I like the takedown (I have a 10/22 takedown, so I know they managed to do a good job of the barrel join) and the price is better. Chances are, it’s a better gun overall too, but I’ll leave my determination of that until I can see a reliable review.
While I love my M1A Scout, it’s hard over here to find anywhere to shoot it – I think there’s one 300 yard range worth visiting within a 3 hour drive – but I have access to a bunch of 75 yard ranges which is what this carbine is likely to be good at.
I have a .45 UZI Carbine. The only issue I’ve ever had is magazine springs but to be honest they were really old and I never cleaned them. It’s a great gun but I would like to have someone weld a rail to the top plate for a Red Dot. Top of gun is a thin metal removable plate with a square bolt carrier right below so I don’t think I could bolt one on because there is very little Diane between the plate and carrier. Concerned the thin top plate could melt from a welder though.
Space, not Diane
That’s some spellchecker!

If we can turn this website into the exact opposite of DU, I think we will have won.
I go there at least a few times a week to witness the stupid. I swear almost everyone on that site is literally retarded. Any time anyone on Twitter posts something saying there’s going to be big news about Meuller and Trump, they jump up and down little little kids who are going to get to open Christmas gifts. Then nothing happens, I swear people are just trolling these tards for kicks, and they become suicidal level depressed. It’s all over, we’re doomed now, why can’t Republicans do something to stop this Hitler who has stolen our democracy? We’ll all just probably die now. How can anyone live like that?
Has to be a troll. No human being can be that intellectually unaware. Like, seriously. You cannot be considered a conscious being if you have so little self-awareness.
It’s DU. They’re all literally retarded. You can troll them easily, they’ll fall for it every time.
They’re that stupid. Unfortunate, but true.
Let me prepare my shocked face as to why this isn’t getting more attention.

Huh, I wonder where he learned all of that stuff from? Couldn’t have been from hanging around with Democrats.
Abedin was interviewed by the FBI as part of its investigation into Clinton’s unofficial email server and stated she “did not learn Clinton was using a private server until after Clinton’s [Department of State] tenure,” though other emails show her involved in discussions about the server, and the aide who set it up told the FBI he discussed it with Abedin.
I swear I just read about a guy who was indicted for lying to the FBI.

EPA probes pollution from scrap yard near potential Amazon HQ2 site in gentrifying Clybourn Corridor
This article is all over the place like paint splattered on a canvas. You have gentrification, pollution, evil Trump, evil lobbyists and of course the evil Koch brothers!
“He also urged Mayor Rahm Emanuel to target the scrap yard with the same public outrage that helped force a company owned by conservative industrialists Charles and David Koch to remove dusty piles of petroleum coke from the Southeast Side.”
What does their political leanings have to do with this story?
Everything is political. Everything.
Thanks sloopy and all the other Glib writers and tech people who make this site possible. I had a rather shitty year myself, but this site was a consistent bright spot.
ZOMG! The evil Nazi Trump has targeted the Post Office! How dare he!
I’m just happy someone else realizes we’re subsidizing Amazon through the USPS.
Privatize it already. This is ridiculous.
Just sell it to Amazon, although they probably want nothing to do with the union labor.

http://fortune.com/2017/07/16/amazon-postal-service-subsidy/
Passing the costs to the taxpayers, otoh, will have no effect upon the economy, of course.
Wow, what an incredible discovery! Give this dunderhead the Nobel Prize in economics!
I love hearing Lefties whine about companies “passing the cost down to the consumer”. That’s what a business is: an organization that produces things and passes the cost on to the consumer. They seem to think that businesses are charities and that any profit they take for themselves is immoral, corrupt, and undeserved.
Reason # 1,587,284 that trying to make common cause with Leftists is a failing strategy for libertarians.
Fuck the USPS! Those idiots are so unreliable.

“Things that have never happened, for $600, Alex.”
No. 6 – Never willingly underbid.
The double!
Yeah, kinda spooky – it’s like the Marx Brothers, but more edgy.
SLDs apply, but why, exactly is the HELOC/2nd Mortgage deductibility so sacred? It’s like deducting your payday loan balances.
In 1913, all interest was deductible.
I always remind people of that. And ask them why a household should be treated any differently than a business for tax purposes.
The folks at DU have voices inside their heads. That’s actually one of the more believable things I’ve read there and I don’t believe a word of it.
We can’t deduct the interest on our HELOC? What!? Oh noes! Now I’m going to owe a billion dollars!
From the annals of economic illiteracy:
He is not the only one who noticed. In a speech earlier this year, William Dudley, president of the New York Fed, said: “The previous behavior of using housing debt to finance other kinds of consumption seems to have completely disappeared. People are apparently leaving the wealth generated by rising home prices ‘locked up’ in their homes.”
Asset price inflation apparently creates wealth, now.
On further thought its even worse:
Unrealized asset price inflation apparently creates wealth, and wealth can be realized by going into debt.
By that reasoning, I’m a rich motherfucker.
Last night, I was watching the Bozeman local news, to hear what they were saying about weatherpocalypse X.0 (I’ve lost track- could be 3.0, could be 6.0). Anyway, in the sports part, they did a segment on the MSU ladies’ (do they still call it that? pffft) and how, as a training and team building exercise, they all read a book called, “Chop Wood, Carry Water” during the off season. I’m quite familiar with the koan, but had never heard of the book.
I couldn’t help but wonder how effectively the cultural appropriation police have infested MSU.
Maybe it is a marriage advice manual for Montana wimmins?
I have no idea who this is.

*Gleeful claps when both Moms agree to the sleepover*
So I first found Reason.com after watching a Drew Carey’s Reason TV video. Soon after I started (mostly) lurking at H&R. The intelligent commenters on H&R definitely help change me from a socially liberal conservative to an actual libertarian. Then I followed you guys over here.
Reasons gets a lot of publicity with Nick, Matt and the other staff being on various talk shows and are seen as the faces of libertinism. It’s really too bad that Reason.com and especially the H&R comments have become so crappy. If I discovered Reason in 2016 there is no way I would spend time there and I would have learned nothing about libertarianism. Imagine if a Hihn post was your first real introduction to libertarianism.
Welcome aboard, Tulpa.
And we wonder why so many people only lurk…..
I assume some of them have jobs.
Rufus still comments. They have no excuse.
BULLY!
*giggles*
Well, Hihn is the only true libertarian.
We’re all bullies in here. Get used to it.
I wonder what states are missing from the gliberatariat? I’m guessing no Delaware, Rhode Island or Hawaii to start.
At least 2 active glibs in CT.
Nebraska?
I’m willing to colonize Hawaii.
Just got back from a week there, only to land in -4 degree weather. *sigh* I’m lying. I’d miss Minnesoda too much.
How about Tennessee? Any Glibs from there?
I also think that Tundra and I have set a population density record of 2 Glibs in the same city.
There are two of us here from Bowling Green, so it would depend on the your population which of us wins that one.
NY has at least two, right?
Rhywyn and… Ted?
Throw you in. Anything in that state gets sucked into the swirling vortex.
I’m not a downstater. If I have to drive several hours to reach the cesspit, I’m not in it.
I live in New York state, I doubt I will ever be from NYS.
There was another one from my nabe too but I don’t remember his name.
Maple Grove, Minnesoda. Pop. 68,385*
*The 5 is my family.
Ames is 66,191 (including students) – we have two.
Only two students at Iowa State? That seems a bit low…
Shoot, Bowling Green, KY has a pop of 65,234.
Hmm… That looks like a made up number. Pope Jimbo and Tundra win.
Maple Grove looks made up to me, I think they should count as Minneapolis.
Bowling Green has its own MSA, which makes it a real city.
Minneapolis MSA 3,551,036
Bowling Green MSA 171,122
What the fuck is a MSA?
And trying to lump us in with Mpls is fighting words.
Metropolitan Statistical Area – defined as a group of counties around a city which are “tied” to it in some way, mainly commuting patterns.
I am technically outside the city, Warren County population is 122,851.
I’m in the Nashville area of Tennessee.
Hawaii is represented here. I hope you enjoyed our cold snap Pope Jimbo.
Athena is a former resident if I remember correctly.
Not sure if you saw my comment a few days ago. Your eggnog recipe was a big hit at the family Christmas get-together. Thanks for posting it!
I am glad you enjoyed it. I am puzzled that you can remember enjoying it tho.
It was actually cloudy and sort of rainy for two days of our trip. But each of those days were already planned to be our “tour Oahu” days. So no big loss.
Yeah, it was soooooo cold there.
On our trip before this, Honolulu had set a new low temp record (57F) the week before we showed up. When the locals found out that we were from Minnesoda they were so proud to tell us about the record and how we were now all cold weather brothers.
At a roasting 57?
My husband was born and raised in HI I just visit frequently.
I’m in Los Angeles, from NM.
Not sure we have any Alaskans, which seems odd.
We Kentuckians seem to be doing well per capita.
The Alaskans are too busy freezing their nuts off.
I’m buying land in Alaska this summer. Does that count?
That depends on whether you keep posting boobies regularly.
There will never be an end to that.
Thank god for Q’s permanent dividend.
Are you buying land in Alaska just to see more stiff nips?
That is why Straffin moved to Japan after all.
I figured he moved there for the tentacles.
Takoyaki is delicious. But, no.
Well I share the state with MikeS and I thing one other Glib NoDak. And I grew up 20 miles from Pope Jimbo around the same time period.
I need to spend more time on live threads. Its really annoying to read dead comments about local issues and not being able to add anything.
*adds Dak to list*
Where did you grow up? As long as you weren’t a Fergus Falls Otter or Moorhead Spud, we can be friends.
Pelican Rapids. Class of ’88. My folks owned the Pelican Motel.
We always yell “Biggest Pelican in the world!” when we drive through Pelican Rapids.
We yell that at the big pelican on the river, not the one in front of your hotel.
And why did you trim the bushes down around that pelican in front of your hotel? We used to like the old bushes that made it look like that pelican was lurking.
Just like Dakotain, every lurker must come out of the bushes at some point.
My folks sold the motel in ’90. Then the new owners promptly made it into a trailer park/shithole. Current owners are better I think.
Last time I was in Pelican I noticed all the change in landscaping. Doesn’t look near as nice. My Mom spend a lot of time putting flowers in.
Mike I have lived an interesting enough lift to have something to contribute. Like I have spent 86 days in that wonderful libertarian paradise of Somalia.
Great! I hope you keep commenting.
Somalia sounds delightful. How were the roads?
Somalia’s roods were pretty good. Which was more due to the UN needing roads to transport food trucks than any spontaneous free market activity.
Oh yeah, I was class of ’85. Right around when Pat Westby was winning state championships for you guys.
I saw you a time or two (in dead threads) and wondered if you were a NoDak. That’s sweet. NoDakMat is the only other North Dakota glib I am aware of. What part of the state are you in?

Ahh, nice. We have the RRV covered pretty well, then. We need to do a NoDak Glibs meet-up sometime.
prolefeed used to live in Hawaii, but moved to Utah, for some reason. And there is at least one of us Glibz in HI. dbleagle? Memory fails.
It would be cool if someone would start one of those maps were everyone “sticks a pin in the map” for where they live. I’ve seen them before but I can’t remember what websites host them.
Hitler?
Hmm… don’t know if this will work but I created a Google Map, opened access to everyone. People will have to add a pin.

Imagine if a Hihn post was your first real introduction to libertarianism.
Imagine if the 2016 Libertarian Party President/VP ticket was your first introduction to “libertarianism”.
“Huh, looks like a Tard n’ RINO ticket to me?”
Nothing sells your political ideology like a fat lunatic dancing around in a thong on stage.
Yeah Johnson/Weld were terrible. I still voted for Johnson just to do my tiny tiny part to increase libertarian numbers. I figured my vote was worth more that way than voting for a Rep or Dem in a hard red state.
Plus I could say I voted for a presidential candidate who was born in North Dakota.
#metoo…all the reasons you state
I’m constantly torn between the decision of voting for libertarian-leaning Republicans or the actual Libertarian Party.
I certainly don’t like the direction that the LP has taken. They seem to be trying to make common cause with Democrats, but that’s not a winning strategy. Libertarian ideas will never fly with people who think that profits are exploitation and think that it’s the government’s duty to provide you with all kinds of tangible goods. Democrats might pretend to agree with libertarians if it could work to their advantage, but they’ll toss us to the curb as soon as we outlive our usefulness to them.
I am not torn. I aint taking a bite out of that shit sandwich. They put up a guy who couldn’t give a shit and chose a vice-candidate that endorsed Hillary.
Fuck them. Put up someone serious and I will vote for them. Now I see them trying to slide over into the progressive camp thinking we wont notice. Double-fuck them.
^^^This guy gets it.
(there was going to be more to that post, but I had to go make some pork bone broth)
I will say this: if Trump continues doing what he’s been doing (cutting regulations, changing the taxation system at least somewhat, pissing off “progressives” and making them out themselves as communists) I will vote for him in 2020.
When someone says “I love the mountains!” the only proper response is “Why do you love the mountains? Do ya think the mountains love you?” My first libertarian moment at age 15. Thanks Joe!
Just checked my fartbook. I’m so sorry I did.
Well, let that be a lesson to you.
Been saying for years that Leftism is a religion.

Live by the media, die by the media.
“Hamilton has now apologised.”
Well, there’s a mistake. He could learn a thing or two from Trump.
How somebody with the titanium balls of Hamilton can crumble is a mystery to me.
“The mum of a ‘gender non-conforming child’ is selling fake ‘extra-small’ penises for transgender kids under the age of five.
‘The Teeny Tiny’ silicone packers can be worn by children who identify or express themselves as male to give the appearance of a bulge.
Available ‘circumcised’ and in several colours – including cashew, caramel and hazelnut – they are on sale alongside bigger packers that are targeted at kids aged between five and eight.”

Christ, what an asshole.

Christ, what an asshole.
I think it’s pretty clear from the article that it’s a penis, not an asshole.
The wonderful news is that some of those models are manufactured with pthalates (phallates?) and bisphenols, so they’re not really kid safe. The dissonance is likely to have heads exploding.
Chinese manufacturers laughing all the way to the bank.
“Stupid gwailo bought our entire stock of recycled butt plug silicone! Bwahahahaha!”
That is the part that made me laugh too last night when this came up.
The same people who have a shit fit about GMO’s or BPA plastic are totally fine with sketchy fake cocks for their little “boys”.
Likewise, we were laughing about how these folks would freak out if their little girl played with Barbie, but would be elated if their little “girl” played with Barbie.
But I don’t think the same would be true with guns. I think the progs are so scared of guns that even if their little “boy” begged for a gun, they wouldn’t allow it.
Sketchy fake cocks
The whole synthetic estrogen thing pretty much defeats the purpose of F-M funtime for junior.
Am I the only one who finds a tinge of pedophilia in this stuff? Should grown men and women really be obsessing this much over the genitalia of children under the age of 10? Maybe this goes with the whole “normalize pedos” subcategory of the trans-rights crowd.
Not sure it’s pedophilia, but it’s certainly child abuse.
It’s both. It’s a complete disregard for the welfare of the child in the name of virtue signaling.
They’re most definitely a bunch of sick pervs. I wouldn’t let those people anyway near a kid of mine. Fuck I don’t even want one of them anyway near me.
I read the excerpt again (NOT clicking the link), and caught this:

What? Dude, it’s winter time.
I presume that a lot of the people gushing over this will also be more than happy to lecture you about toxic masculinity, and not see experience any cognitive dissonance.
The only explanation I can think of is brain damage.
I sure hope this happens. Although I hope the politics and influence on lawmakers doesn’t migrate as well.
I sure hope it happens, too. I’d like to have more tech jobs available in my area.
The article also mentions a great point about the tax bill. People moving out of coastal cities to escape high housing prices should distribute higher paying jobs a little better throughout the country, which will even things out a bit. So a little bit of inadvertent social engineering?
Change this to “37 Things (((They))) Need To Stop Ruining” and you’d have a modern day version of the Scrolls of the Elders of Zion.

I get a kick out of their rabid accusations of Nazism. Bitch, you people are unreflective race collectivists with a penchant for eugenics and genocide. Eighty years ago you’d have been the Nazis, or at least Nazi-sympathisers. Just like early progressives.
They differ from the National Socialists in that their aims are international. So I ask, in what way do they differ from the Soviets who were easily as immoral as the Nazis?
The fetters would be leather-lined with links enough to get all over the plantation, and besides, it’s for their own good.
Do these people realize that if the progressives ever get total power blacks will likely be exterminated in the US? At the very least every black in America will be back in chains.
Useful idiots never see it coming.

As one of the commenters notes, this was thrown around in the news about 2 months ago. The firm have a pretty solid business model and the price point looks about right, but by the end of the party, unless they bring in additional talent, those girls are gonna be awfully tired. There will be a lot of viagra consumed, and from what I can tell from the promotional material, the party will be at least 420 friendly.
If some of the clients decide they want to make the most of their vacation, the smart guys should find a way to get some exclusivity on one of the girls, because the *really* popular girls will be doing a fair impression of a paperhanger’s bucket.
I can only assume the coke will be flowing quite freely (“girls are drug-friendly”), I imagine mostly for the benefit of the girls given the anti-Viagra effects it would have on the men.
If I wanted to get my money’s worth, I’d definitely lay off ALL the drugs. If I was feeling moderately virile on the day, I’d probably avoid the viagra too.
I’d still get a full-spectrum STD test after 14 days though.
Yohimbine. Always yohimbine. And I’d probably pack away some Cabergoline as well. For those who need a refresher course:

DON’T ANY OF YOU WORK?!?
It’s the last working day of the year. I’m just waiting on my controller to close it out.
This is the week where those of us without any vacation time pretend to work.
I did that Tue Wed and Thu. Now I’m actually not working for real.
Why take vaca when every position above you is out on PTO? Staycation baby!
*Dude tapping his temple and grinning meme*
I tried to do that this week – cought a cold and had to burn sick days wednesday and yesterday.
Get a load of ‘long time, first time’ over there all full of confidence.
Not until the 2nd of Jan.
Not today! I’m on baby duty instead.
Related: I used to hate the “mandatory shutdown” that many companies do between Christmas and New Year, but the concept is growing on me.
Much like mold on spoilt fruit.
Last working day of the year means I get to comment in between closings. I’m not doing any other work today though.
Fucking bond lawyers sent me a crap closing package, so I had to reconstruct it from scratch. What should have taken half an hour took half a day.
“Oh, we need you to write a legal opinion from scratch on how this financing is allowed by your other bonds. No, we didn’t need that opinion the last time we did AN IDENTICAL TRANSACTION.”
So, opinion is out now ( my non-legal opinion was that they should give us our damn money or they might be missing a few beloved family pets; the legal opinion was more . . . measured). So, that’s done, most of the office is blessedly absent, and my CEO is in a jovial and reflective mood. Even offered to buy me lunch.
In apologising for his video, Hamilton fed this new intolerance and made it fatter and greedier. Stop apologising, everyone. Thinking boys shouldn’t wear dresses is a perfectly legitimate point of view.
That’s hilarious. Hamilton has always impressed me as a Grade A hipster metrosexual douchebag, despite the fact that he drives the shit out of anything he gets into, ands is one of the best at passing for position on the race track. I figured the supermodels and singers were just lifestyle accessories.
Hamilton can only he half insensitive because he’s only half white.

And doing it without clomping around like a retarded five year-old in grandma’s Earth Shoes.
it would not surprise any old-fashioned libertarian (*as distinct from the newer, woketarian breed), but reading into what happened with the 1998 Master Settlement Agreement money is a lesson in “Why Govt Will Always Waste 90% of the Money You Give It”
There have been numerous postmortems, one written every 5 or so years…. none of them comprehensive. They all suffer from sheer inability to encompass the extent of the boondoggles. There were warnings in 2000, 2005, 2010… in Colorado, the subject of the above, they pointed out the problems in 2008, yet followed the same pattern others do – mostly ass-covering for the politicians who used windfall-money to cover long-term budget problems, while spending their general revenue on launching NEW govt programs and spending initiatives.
basically, that’s what they all did: they used the “free”, one-time money to temporarily plug shortfalls in pensions and health plans… and used their liberated budgets to do all sorts of higher-profile spending-stuff for which they would be politically-rewarded by voters. “Look at our wise governor, doing so many good projects” … never mind that the bill for these things was being pushed into the future after Good Gov is long gone.
wash, rinse, repeat.
meanwhile, much like apologists for Venezuela blaming ‘low oil prices’ for the structural failures of that country, Tobacco settlement white-washers ironically moan that the decline in *smoking* ended up hurting their longer-term tax-revenue forecasts. Victims of their own “success”; on one hand they’ll credit their shitty prevention programs with great accomplishments in ‘reducing teen smoking’ (when in fact they could have done nothing and it would have declined regardless), and on the other hand, wring their hands that this decline is causing ‘shortfalls’ in the revenue needed to sustain these vital govt functions. If only we had more smokers to finance the anti-smoking initiatives!
Oh noes, she’s wearing her own clothes!
But if her daddy weren’t President, Ivanka wouldn’t have a pot to piss in.

Another thing that didn’t happen from DU?
So, people in CT can’t have any SS bennies? What?
The tax bill hasn’t been enacted, of course, so this is BS.
Her problem lies in the fact that Connecticut is a bust-ass crack ho, fiscally speaking, and recently, the state has been reducing the capitation to towns for education, so the towns are expected to pick up the slack. Some do, some don’t. I assume some have a component of their pensions derived from town coffers, and that’s probably what happened here.
And a federal tax bill changes state pensions?
It’s DU, stories like this are the daily norm. like 6 said, no one would be affected by the tax bill yet, anyway. But the part about CT not allowing teachers to get SS is over the top.
I can’t speak for connecticut, but a New York state pension is still subject to federal taxation. It is not subject to New York state taxation.
What does happen is that certain other benefits can be carried over with costs deducted from the pension checks (ie, health insurance) and if their premiums went up (as they do) her check could have gone down, even with a lower federal withdrawl. If this person were not disingenuous, I’d suggest they look at the deduction breakdown and see where that money went. I’d bet health insurance.
Well, apparently the state of CT screwed her out of $15 whole dollars and now how is she supposed to feed her 15 cats?
Well, if she doesn’t have health insurance she will die. The 15 cats will feed off her corpse.
*waves hands as if parting a rainbow*
Problem solved.
I thought I read somewhere that pubsec workers don’t contribute to SS? Or am I misremembering.
I pay SS taxes.
I think there was a clause that let some organizations opt-out, but it wasn’t a blanket decision forced upon them.
Well, if you could opt out and you did so, wouldn’t it be just a little dishonest to instead say you weren’t allowed to get it? And what about her husbnand’s SS? How can CT not allow her to have that because she’s a teacher?
If I am remembering correctly, it’s not an employee-level decision. The organization makes the decision. (ie, the Localty, state, etc) But she did phrase it as though she paid in and was barred from taking out, which is a bit on the dishonest side.
I’m a little surprised that being on a state pension disallows you from receiving SS survivorship benefits. Assuming that’s true.
Other way around. Public employers weren’t covered by social security unless they made specific arrangements historically.
Ah. Well, as I said, I was relying on my memory, which is fallable.
Government Pension Offset:
https://www.ssa.gov/pubs/EN-05-10007.pdf
I suggest she read the fine print on her statement – if her deposit was reduced more likely a state issue.
, we may reduce your Social Security spouses or widows or widowers benefits
Boo hoo. She got a working life free of paying into Social Security and is now whining about not being able to parasite off of a pyramid scheme she didn’t pay into.
If social security is so great, why isn’t it voluntary for everyone?
I would opt out right now if they would give me half of what I’ve paid in over the last 35 years.
I would opt out now getting nothing back. It’s not like I expect it to still be around and paying out when I retire anyways.
Do you have a newsletter? I am totally down with this.

Look, if I’ve got a degree, I’m allowed to designate myself as an expert, which means that whatever I say is right. If I say the moon is made out of blue cheese, then it is!
Is that degree Celsius or Fahrenheit?
My degrees are in the 30s and 40s. Most of you admitted to having degrees in the single-digit range. Some of them are even negative! So you have to listen to what I say.
Fahrenheit of course, don’t try to sell me on that commie celsius bullshit!
I’m the world expert on one incident in the Civil War. But I wouldn’t attempt to match knowledge with Carol Reardon or Gary Gallagher. Didn’t PhD used to mean “Piled Higher and Deeper?”

The differentiation between sex and gender would be more compelling if the people asserting it acknowledged that sex is strongly behaviorally determinative rather than merely incidental. The sociological argument that culture enforces sex roles waters down the distinction and reveals the agenda: it’s less about clarifying social roles, more about denigrating masculinity because TEH PATRIARCHY.
Outside of genetic/hormonal disorders, XX or XY determines sex. That’s all there is to it. Genes also determine if I have 10 fingers. Just because very rarely people are born with 11 or 9 or whatever does not mean that we need to embrace digit diversity and claim that having 10 fingers is a social construct. It’s just an assault on reality. It’s also a Soviet propaganda technique designed to demoralize; when you force someone to accept something that everyone (including the teller) knows is false, it crushes the listener’s dignity. It’s a double whammy of assaulting reality and demoralizing the enemy.
That SJSU hired someone like this does not speak well of their institution. However, the biosciences have been getting SJWized for years.
Give me a call when someone with XX knocks up another XX.
Also, it’s telling that the people for whom PaTrIArchAL OpReSHuN is a core tenet of their religion also, for reasons of InTErSeCtSHuNalIty, deny that cultural tendencies peculiar to certain ethnic groups might inform social pathologies. So the attitudes toward academics among urban black youths says nothing whatsoever about their academic achievements later in life, because all disparities are the fault of systemic oppression, but sexual roles are entirely the fault of our pervasively misogynistic culture. And don’t even bother bringing up the backwardness and illiberality of Muslim cultures, because, you guessed it, all their problems are the fault of colonialism or whatever.
There’s no sense in trying to find logic or consistency; their only goal is power. The tearing down Western Civilization, embrace of Communism, attack on objective reality, none of them are the end goal. The only object is pure, raw power; the boot stomping on the face of humanity forever.
Useful idiots like this lady aren’t bright enough to understand that.
And she would be one of the first in front of a firing squad if she ever got her wish.
It wouldn’t make it worth it, but I certainly wouldn’t mind that outcome. There’s nothing more enraging than monsters who consider themselves angels. At least the real Nazis wore death’s head insignias. These idiots would be firing up the ovens while singing hosannas to tolerance and diversity.
If/since gender is just a social construct, why do dudes need to make biological changes with hormones, surgery, etc. to realize their identity as a chick?
Because society largely defines gender based on behavior and appearance.
Awww, Spaghettios again?
OT: USB Flash Drives.
I needed a flash drive that had a physical, NAND-gate severing, RO/RW switch because paranoia. They’re hard to find, but Kanguru make one that is ALSO USB 3.0.
I know benchmark software has its limitations, but this sucker is REALLY fast.
I seem to recall that those were readily available a few years back. Huh.
There was more choice back then. Now, there are only a few manufacturers, and they seem to get lousy reviews. This Kanguru though is a serious piece of kit. The metal case flexes a little bit when forced, but it’s rugged enough for my needs.
Just where are you plugging that thing in?
I wish in here.

God damn it couldn’t t this be pinned on an Afghan or Ethiopian refugee or something?
That probably wouldn’t be news.
They do link to a story about the conviction of a rejected asylum seeker from Ghana who raped a 23-year-old woman.
My question: if he was a rejected asylum seeker, why the fuck was he still in Germany?
Here’s a question I have about the pre-teen strap-on story and the transgender fetishists. Why are these parents so eager to move their little girls into the other column, sexwise? Is it so they may capitalize on the toxicity of maleness? Get them on the right side of the patriarchal war on wimminz?
They’re mentally ill.
Because they don’t have a boy to fuck up in the head?
You know, maybe it’s just me, but giving strapon penises to little girls might just eventually land one in a very socially awkward position or worse. These people are some sick fuckers to say the least.
Ya know, back in my day we’d just make that little finger-whirly sign beside our right temple and move on with our day. Of course back then we hung yellow onions from our belts. It was the style at the time.
So it appears that Trump is once again playing the Democrats like a fiddle. He’s apparently telling them that DACA is only happening with a wall. He knows they won’t agree to that and doesn’t really care. He’s just going to let the DACA thing expire and blame it on Democrats.

Well, all of woke folk have now discovered that there are actually caucasian (white devils) among the good brown Latin people south of our border. These ‘white’ Latins are no better than the white devils in the USA who voted for that Nazi. Did you know what most of them identify as white after they come here? So we must resist and fight these bad white people on many continents. We are resisting, we are tired, but we still resist.

“How Wonder Woman and the Last Jedi could make our politics worse
They gratify audiences by mirroring their own beliefs back to them — depicting white women as heroic paragons of virtue crusading for righteous causes — which, in turn, licenses viewers to avoid having either to acknowledge the far more complicated role white women are playing in our politics or to consider what other forms of racialized womanhood these heroines are occluding. So, while these films may trade on a widespread desire for transformative change, they are also replaying cultural scripts that our recent history already seems on the verge of exhausting and, in the process, foreclosing more visionary — and truly transformative — artistic and political possibilities.”

I have no idea what any of that is supposed to mean.
“Buy my script.”
It doesn’t mean anything, it’s mindless gibberish.
It means they are turning on white women because of the intersection. White women are the white men of the oppressed.
I needed a flash drive that had a physical, NAND-gate severing, RO/RW switch because paranoia. They’re hard to find, but Kanguru make one that is ALSO USB 3.0.
You know what I have wanted, for a long time? A laptop with lots and lots of RAM, and hardly any disk space. Storage to be provided by thumb drive(s). The laptop I am currently using has some huge amount of disk space, and there’s hardly anything on it.
Couldn’t you pop the hard drive out and boot from USB?
Sloopy, any updates on your mom and that asshole cop?
“Intersex and ambiguously sexed individuals arise at an appreciable frequency – on the order of 1%,” she asserted.
Well, that certainly justifies a complete upending of society.
Y’all are discussing all of these distinctions that they invented with seriousness. Don’t forget, every one of their causes are trojan horses for socialism. The proper response to them is “Go blow it out of your ass. You cant have your glorious revolution. It’s just not gonna happen.” and keep hammering that.
I’ve come to realize that the difference between the Bolsheviks and the modern day progressives, is that the Bolsheviks just killed people while the proggies are trying to destroy society through divisive identity politics, so that they can rush in and save the day. They’ve just forgotten that they don’t have any guns, oops.
“Fuck off slaver” works too.
I’m starting to think that maybe it was a bad thing when they closed all of those insane asylums.
“white people, we gotta do a whole lot better in 2018. remember: we’re upholding a system of white supremacist capitalist patriarchy if we’re not actively challenging it every single minute in every way we can. ”

Countdown to Allred getting charged with rape or murder starts in 5, 4, 3, 2…..
Some of the comments are fucking hilarious.
He’s right. I need to double-up on my studies and focus on graduating. I’m never going to be a proper shitlord until I’m making decent coin.
Unintentionally hilarious.

A thoroughly thought out rebuttal. You make a lot of sense. I would like to subscribe to your newsletter.

I blame Ken Kesey.

This is CNN.
LOL!
But remember guys: fake news, conspiracy theories, and blatant political bias are strictly a feature of right-wing media outlets.

NTTAWWT.
There’s nothing more enraging than monsters who consider themselves angels. At least the real Nazis wore death’s head insignias. These idiots would be firing up the ovens while singing hosannas to tolerance and diversity.
Nice.
“It’s for your own good.”
“Imagine if a Hihn post was your first real introduction to libertarianism.”
I am trying to catch up because I am late. Why do people feel the need to accept or reject some political philosophy package? It is a mistake to look at some platform others put together and choose it from all of the others like you are choosing a book from the library. You like 7 out of 10 planks, pick that and you are stuck with three stinkers or three Achilles heels.
Start with fundamental principles and follow those to their logical ends. Stay consistent with those principles and dont waver. Shit-can the labels. I took that ideological test yesterday and was labeled a right-leaning libertarian. I am not. I am me. I dont need to belong to any group. I am not in any clubs. I dont go to any churches. I dont have any tattoos. I dont have any bumper stickers. I am not registered with any political parties. This place is the closest thing I have to a group I belong to. Outside that I am my wife’s husband, my son’s father and just plain ol’ me.
I start with self-ownership for all individuals. Build from that.
Agreed. That’s why partisanship turns people into fucking retards. “Libertarianism” to me is a constellation of ideas arrived upon through logical deduction starting with, as you said, self-ownership and inalienable G-d given rights.
Yeah, and for many of them it turns into something like a team sport. They forget all about actual policy because WE WON, WE WON!
Well, it’s sort of like that. With the GOP and the Democrats, you have to choose a package and accept all of the bullshit. The 2 big tent parties are like Comcast. To get 3 channels you want to watch, you need to buy 300 you’ll never watch. With the GOP you get a little better economy wise, but you have to approve of putting people in cages for smoking a damn plant. With Democrats, maybe you get some legal weed, which you will be taxed to death for, but you’ll also get horrible policy on the economy.
That’s why libertarian is never going to be a big tent party, too much individualism. Thinking is hard, it’s much easier to let other people do it for you.
“That’s why libertarian is never going to be a big tent party, too much individualism. ”
Two things popped in my head.
1. Herding cats
2. “I would never belong to a club that would take me.”
Also, I think it is hard to build a party that isn’t going to dole out cushy patronage jobs, kickbacks and other goodies to the people who run it.
Why work hard for a campaign if you aren’t going to get some sort of fat check at the end of the day?
Look, if I’m elected Supreme Shitlord, there’s going to be plenty of Czarships to hand out. Hooker and Blow Czar maybe being the real prize. So don’t forget to vote Hyperion.
^^^ this.
With Democrats, maybe you get some legal weed
Or maybe not, what with Obama’s ultra-progressive dispensary raids. Nothing solves a “public health issue” like huge legal bills and stints in pound-me-in-the-ass federal prison.
Except most pro weed people I have met want legal weed with lots of taxes. So there is still a black market for cheaper, non-government approved weed. Which means people are still being sent to prison for the terrible crime of selling weed.
Was it Winston who harped on the preferability of decriminalization over legalization over at TOS? Whoever it was, he wasn’t wrong.
“We’ll let you smoke what you want, but if you sell it or consume it in ways we don’t like, we’re still going to throw you in a rape cage.” There’s baby steps, and then there’s inchworm policy.
My comment was more about how Reason has become such a terrible representation of libertarianism. I have been libertarian leaning almost my whole life. I understood that concepts like taxes are theft and had a strong belief in the free market. But I did not learn about things like the NAP until I started reading Reason.
Reason is seen as being one of the premier libertarian publications, but it is doing a terrible job of representing libertarian ideas. Before the “great exodus” at least the comments would be there to tear apart bad articles.
And I agree that labels should not matter. Ideas and beliefs are what are important. I just wish more people would believe this and quit playing team politics.
The problem with Reason and I think mostly what chased off most of the commentariat, is that they got a severe case of DTS and were obviously trying to outdo WaPo in their daily output of Trump bashing. Even before that, they were going down hill by trying to pander to the so called ‘left libertarian’ millennials. That entire concept is ridiculous because such a thing cannot naturally exist in the first place. Leftist regimes require force by their very nature. You cannot have a cooperative of humans beyond about 25 people naturally. Anything larger requires an authority to keep it together and eventually force. This has already been proven by history, so there is no reason to even give any plausibility to something so absurd as leftist libertarians, if there’s even been an oxymoron, that would be it.
The DTS rendered it impossible to frame a serious discussion about what the outcome might be of the election, and what kind of America we’d live in after the votes were counted. The oxygen was sucked right out of the room, and the reporting just deteriorated as many of the writers jockeyed for position in the ‘smash the Trump Pinata’ contest, presumably for whatever crumbs of recognition they might get in the broader realm of publishing.
In their defense, the commentariat have never been “kind” to the writers at ToS, and I think that the successful and respected writers there still need to have a far thicker skin than the average 2017 journalist. Look at a really good submission there. The comments would deliver very few unqualified positive critiques, which must be disappointing when you know you could go to Salon and have a daily tongue-bath for espousing the accepted narrative.
Start with fundamental principles and follow those to their logical ends. Stay consistent with those principles and dont waver.
I go with “Treat others as you would like them to treat you” and that’s the end. No qualifiers like, “unless they don’t agree with you” or “unless they have a different pigmentation” or “unless the have more/less money than you”.
Sometimes it goes from that to “Treat me like shit, and you’ll get it right back”.
‘The but rule’ is very important.
When HM gets here it’ll be the “Butt Rule”
I thought that was Jesse’s purview.
Butts are like opinions about butts. Everyone’s got them, and some of them are fine.
Yeah, I get along pretty well with everyone, and most all of them I know have different political beliefs than I do. I just try to not talk about politics or religion whenever I can. But I’m with you, in that if someone is giving me shit, I won’t be taking it for even one second. It’s always a good idea to let people know right away that you will stop being so polite as soon as they think they can push you around. Anytime I’ve ever encountered someone at work who likes to be a bully or just rude, I’ve set them straight right away and that’s always served me well. I guess there’s been a couple of times I’ve almost lost work or a job because of that, but it always turned out well in the end.
Man, this week is sort of depressing. I’m thinking maybe I would have been better off to just work. I’m home alone, just sitting here drinking beer all day while wifey is at work. I’m so fucking bored. I guess I could play a game, but I’m burnt out on games for now. I could go sit outside in the cold and look at trees. TV, nah I fucking hate it mostly, there’s never anything good on. I could post on a libertarian site and make fun of retards on the web. Shit, I’m fucking bored, bored, bored! I need someone here to look pretty and tell me to pick up my clothes off the bedroom floor, sigh…
xhamster.com ?
NSFW, btw.
I finished it yesterday. There’s no more poon to see.
Because you are now blind?
Not quite yet, it’s just a good thing I finally finished the internet pr0n, cause I could have gone blind you know.
What your parents never told you: the hairy palms are like cat whiskers.
Yeah, shaving your palms really gets tedious, sigh…
I seem to have developed an intolerance for alcohol. Perhaps that is a blessing in disguise. No matter how small the amount, no matter how dilute, drinking it is like throwing a rubber ball at the floor.
Perhaps my body is rebelling after my years of overserving myself. I have told y’all the ‘she was overserved’ story, haven’t I?
Sometimes I get a really nice buzz going from alcohol and other times it’s just like meh, you know, not doing much for me. If I get a couple of the meh drinking sessions in a row, I just quit for a while and that seems to work. Also, take a lot of supplements if you’re drinking for many days straight.
Even when we run short of work at my second job and I’m stuck pushing a broom around for an afternoon I get a terrible sense of foreboding and torpor. I’ll waste six hours in a video game without much compunction just as long as I know I’m going to put in moneymaking hours the next day. But if I’m laid off for a week? Depression and financial ruin, I tell you what.
I’m reflecting on the wisdom of paying $40 for a Udemy course. I’ve “done” so many modern computing languages and dialects that I should have just sat down and gone thru’ the release documentation for Python.
I don’t have any desire to learn any other computer languages. I’ve been through a lot of them, C++, Foxpro, Clipper, Dbase 4 and 5, assembler, line basic, PHP, classic ASP, C# and VB.NET, TSQL, JAVA, Javascript. I am probably leaving out more than a few. I’m sticking with C# and VB.NET and of course javascript, along with TSQL. That will keep me plenty busy until I retire. Then I’m going to live naked in the rain forest in a grass hut and paint with my dick or something like that.
Your new dick painting career?
I won an office coding challenge against all the whipper snappers who think I’m a dinosaur. It wasn’t hard, all I had to do was choose a language suited for the task. But since they are all Java developers they chose….. wait for it….. JAVA!
The problem was to parse a string into two word segments then create a map of how many occurances of each two word pairs there were.
I chose perl and had something in 6 lines of code (I think I could have shortened it if I could have remembered some of the silly built in variables). They used Java and spent lines upon lines of code to do the simple regex functions built into perl.
Every language has a good reason for existing. The problem is that too many programmers learn one and decide to use it for everything.
As soon as I see a Regex challenge, I have to take a deep breath and figure out if I can get an embedded Perl interpreter inside the language I need for everything else.
My current gig, soon to be ex-gig is C#/T-SQL, but I’m gearing up to run my own gig based around Postgres and I’ll have to have some back-end ETL and something to serve the data up as a REST interface, so I’ve got to move across into some of this stuff. Once I have the API built, I’ll have to build a relatively pretty UI for users who don’t like SalesForce-like UIs
Painting with my dick is starting to sound preferable.
Yeah, that made me lean even more towards painting with my dick.
I haven’t been anywhere for a fucking week because of the snow and drifts. In the last year or two, a couple of eager beaver types have moved up here, and they plow the road. This may *seem* like a good thing, but then the wind blows 40 mph with 60 mph gusts for a day and a half, and the snow banks from plowing make it worse. The snow sifts back in deeper than ever. It used to be that the wind would just clear the snow away after a day or two. Fucking people.
To be honest, it doesn’t really bother me that much. As long as I have electricity, I’m okay. I have food; it’s not like I’m out there trying to snare a snowshoe bunny for sustenance. But I am getting kind of bored.
I’m going to run out of cat food (for the cat) in another day or two. Then I’ll have to bust out.
You know, the good thing about the cat, is that it will go out and snare that showshoe bunny, without complaint.
the good thing about the cat, is that it will go out and snare that showshoe bunny, without complaint.
But will she share it with me?
