On a more serious note, the cynical side of me wants to believe that it’s going to go beyond actual harassment and unwanted advances becoming the new cudgel for woke women to bludgeon the rest of us, but part of me still believes that the common sense of most people outside the major metropolitan areas on the coasts will prevail.

I think most men in general roll their eyes at this. I have never had the privilege of being approached by the opposite sex on a constant basis (most men probably don’t). But I do have sympathy for her mostly because I know her personally and she’s a very good person that wouldn’t hurt a fly.

This burns itself out fairly soonish, and never really gets outside the entertainment biz. This whole SJW purge thing doesn’t really work outside of environments that have a pretty decent SJW infection thing already. That would be the entertainment biz, which, having loudly supported SJWs and proggy politicos and causes, can hardly do a 180 and return to a more reasonable position. Plus, I actually think that the entertainment biz is worse, by a lot, than most other industries when it comes to sexual misbehavior.
This might get into academia, where I suspect the baseline conditions for an epidemic obtain (SJWed, lots of sexual misbehavior), but the I kinda doubt it because the people who hold the power there are very firmly entrenched in tenure and bureaucracies.

That said, I think Breitbart, while very open about their bias (which I actually respect), is one of the few outlets doing real journalism. This is a long-form journalistic slog, but I think it offers a pretty comprehensive outline of not only how dysfunctional Hollywood is, but also attempts to answer the question why. It’s worth reading if you have the time.
