I’m back!  What a last few days.  But I got through holding my first auction without a disgruntled seller trying to bash my head in or a disgruntled buyer trying to do the same.  I can’t ask for much more than that. A quick sports update (straight from the scores without any knowledge of how the games went) and then down to business.:

A ten game slate on the ice yesterday…wow! Devils top the Blue Jackets. Rangers take down the Pens. Blues beat Les Canadiens. The Red Wings rolled over the Jets. Lightning strike six times in beating the Islanders. The Weinsteins Predators beat the Stars. The Sabres top the Avalanche. Canucks blank the Hurricanes. The Kings beat the MINNESOOOOOODA WIIIIIIIIIIILLLLDDD. And the Mighty Duck Fucks fall to the Army, er Las Vegas, Golden Knights.

Over in Europe, they played some UCL games yesterday. Roma won. Barca won. Bayern beat PSG 3-1 in a game that only would have matter had the score been 10-1. Chelsea drew with Athletico, which will come to haunt them. ManUre won. And Juventus won.  The remaining games are played today, which means Liverpool! YNWA.

On the hardcourt, Notre Dame fell to Ball State (yikes!). Michigan State keeps rolling. Villanova drilled Gonzaga. UVA fell to WVU. Minnesoda fell to Nebraska. Wichita State was better than SDSU. Duke won. aTm lost to Arizona. And some other games were played.  Oh, and Ohio State came from 20 points down on Monday night to beat Michigan and further humiliate that school up north.

I know you guys are probably ready to get down to business. But I want to say thanks to Swissy for bailing me out these last couple of days.  Monday was unplanned, and I had to bug out at the last minute. I didn’t mean to put him on the spot like that, but he saved my ass.  And yesterday’s links were awesome, as usual.  Thanks, Swissy. Let me see if I can do equally well with…the links!

CFPB: Under New Management. Rejoice, businesses. You have a government that wants to work with you. Lament, left-wing non-profits that make massive political donations to Team Blue. You no longer have a government that will force companies to make donations to you in lieu of fines or restitution so you can funnel them to the political campaigns of the people in government that forced the companies to pay you in the first place.  I can only hope he takes a metaphorical wrecking ball to the whole, stinking, corrupt agency.

Global warming or Trump. Who is to blame?

I had no idea this was happening until this morning. Stay safe, SoCal Glibs. That looks like a devastating fire.

Now THAT’S ironic! Finally, a government official doing something skeezy that at least has the good taste to be ironic enough that he will live forever in the minds of 4chan.

The Feds have charged Kate Steinle’s killer with a slew of legitimate charges. I was afraid they were going to try and charge him for the murder again, which would have been very bad. But the charges all seem legit.  The DA who failed to present a compelling case blasted Trump and the charges as a travesty of justice.  If only he were wearing a clever t-shirt while doing so.

Pimp of the House no longer

John Conyers announces his retirement as wave after wave after wave of sexual harassment complaints pour in. He also conveniently endorsed his son to continue the family business. Because that’s what our nation has come to: political dynasties and lifelong jobs to elected office.

Expect more judicial activism as opposed to adherence to the Constitution. I just wish the Trump admin would simply say “we are doing exactly what the Obama admin did, what the Bush admin did and what the Carter admin did and if you don’t like it, win the next election for President.” Because that’s the only defense they really need to make of the travel “ban” that he put in place and has been upheld every time it gets sent to the high court.

I needed to find something mellow. It’s been a long week already. And its just Wednesday.

I’m gonna try to make the best of it. Hope you can do the same.

  • Friday Morning Links

Tiger shot -3 in his return to golf. I guess the ankle bracelet didn’t have an effect on his swing, but that interlock device on the cart sure is a bitch. In college basketball, Michigan State continues to impress with a win over Notre Dame. aTm also won. Seattle destroyed Houston 3-0 to win both legs of their MLS Cup semifinal with ease. They take on Toronto in a couple of weeks. The usual suspects all went through in the Spanish Copa del Rey.

There was plenty of action on the ice with seven games last night.  The results: The Kings royally screwed the Crapitals. Dilly dilly! Les Canadiens throttled the Red Wings. The MINNESODA WIIIIIIIIIILLLLLDDDD doubled up the Army, er Las Vegas Golden Knights. The Canucks took down the Predators.* The Blackhawks fell to the Stars in OT (sorry, Swissy). The Flames consumed the Coyotes.  And the Maple Leafs bested the Oilers.

*I, for one, think its time the NHL looked at the insensitivity of the nickname “Predators” in this day and age of sexual assault becoming as commonplace as it is, especially in the media and political arenas. This is literally worse that the Redskins, Indiana and Hitler put together.

Tennessee football downgraded from dumpster fire to row of shitters on fire

And last but not least, the college football coaching search at Tennessee continues apace. The NC State coach turned them down yesterday but they are now talking to Mike Leach from Wazzu. He’d be a hell of a get for that dumpster fire. I sure hope he turns them down.  Also, aTm says they’re about to make their move and Arizona State is going to make a splash by apparently hiring…Herm Edwards? I can’t think of anything that would get the boosters more fired up than a guy  who last coached 9 years ago…in the NFL…with little success.  Also Conference Championship games all day tomorrow. Go Bucks! Beat Michigan! Beat Wisconsin! (Also Go Miami in the ACC and Go SMOD in the SEC game. Go TCU! And I don’t care who wins the Pac 12 game. Oh, and Go Boise State. Because Fresno being ranked with three losses was a fucking joke and a deliberate attempt to make Bama’s schedule look more impressive.)

Jeez. I meant for that to be a very short sports update and then I went on a rant.  Sorry about that. I’ll try to make it up to you by doing extra good with…the links!

Apparently NOT a murder victim, but a victim of bad luck according to San Franciscans.

I seriously don’t like linking all bad news, but I can’t avoid bringing up the acquittal of the illegal alien, multiple felon who killed Kate Steinle in San Francisco. The “it went off on its own” defense seemed to have worked. Even though Sig Sauer’s aren’t known for ever doing that. Even though what the fuck was he doing with the gun anyway? And why would he have been pointing it anywhere in the first place?  Seriously…fuck that shit.  Oh yeah, he’s being deported now. But I’m sure he can find a way back, with a new stolen identity, and make his way to another sanctuary city.

Gloria Steinem adds her name to the list of hypocrites that defended Bill Clinton vigorously while he was in office. So brave.

You want good news? I’ll give you some good news: The 15 year old Texas girl that disappeared on November 25th and most people had given up for dead was found safe and sound in Louisiana yesterday. That’s good to hear.

You want more good news? I’ll give you some more good news: Chicago’s soda tax goes pop! for good today. LOL, nice work, dumbasses.

I didn’t even know Argentina had submarines.  Are they planning on invading another British territory or something? Anyway, this is very sad. But seriously, Argentina? Submarines?

Are you gonna jail or kill all these people too?

A Spanish judge will rule Monday on the fate of ten Catalan separatists. Let’s see how this shitshow of the way the Spanish government has handled this can get any crazier. My guess is that it will.

BONUS BULLSHIT LINK: Check out the most common last names by state. I found it interesting. I’d like to see a comparison with 50 years ago to see if there are any migratory patterns.

and it opened up my eyes. (A video of me singing this better not show up here.)

Enjoy your Friday and weekend! Go Bucks! Beat Michigan! Beat Wisconsin!

  • Thursday Morning Links

LaVar Ball said his doesn’t think Steph Curry is better than his son after the Lakers fall to the Warriors in OT. ::SMDH::

In college ball, ranked Miami (FL) fell to Minnesota. The other ranked teams all won, including Duke, Bama, UNC, Villanova, Gonzaga and TCU.

In soccer, there were no upsets yesterday, as Arsenal, Chelsea (barely), Liverpool, Burnley and Man Shitty (also barely) all won. And so did Everton…by 4 goals. Which drags them back to mid-table instead of flirting with the drop zone. Toronto beat Columbus to advance to the MLS Cup Final as well and will face whoever prevails after tonight’s second leg between Houston and Seattle. Seattle is up 2-0 after the first leg so…yeah, expect them to go through.

Only four games in the NHL last night.  The Bruins took down the Lightning. The Anaheim Mighty Ducks topped the Blues. Les Canadiens ousted the Senators. And the Avalanche buried the Jets, although it was in OT so the pun really doesn’t work.

Yeah, that’s about it.  Although I wanted to note that professional sports, where people compete on the basis of skill and they can’t as easily reach the highest levels by manipulation and exchanging favors for advancement, has largely been immune from the sex assault/harassment scandal that is engulfing the political and entertainment worlds, which are two “industries” where its more who you know (or blow) than what you know.  So good on the sports world, with the exception of the kiddy diddler gymnastics doctor who I hope burns in hell. I hope the trend continues.

Anyway, enough about sticks and balls and pucks and shit. Let’s get right into…the links!

Just in case you didn’t get the news yesterday, The Glibertarians Swag Store is officially open for business. So get in there and get those Christmas presents bought for your loved ones! In all seriousness, the logo really does look good on merchandise.

Swapping stories that would make STEVE SMITH blush

The Matt Lauer thing is exposing a lot more than Lauer’s sexual predatorily behavior. Its exposing a culture at NBC that was allowed to persist to keep a “star” happy. You can’t tell me that nobody knew about his door-locking button under his desk or his reputation for grabbing asses or summoning women to his office who had no reason to otherwise be there. And yes, there is some personal responsibility to be borne by the women who are now coming out, some still anonymously, and fingering him for things that allegedly happened years and years ago. They enabled the continuation of the rapey and pervy behavior that he’s been accused of by staying silent. But the brass at NBC are the biggest enablers at all by not investigating and firing every single person found to have put their hands on someone against their will. Its called common decency, and it exists in the real world where people are judged on their merits and decency as opposed to how many eyeballs they can get to watch your network between certain hours. Shame on NBC and all the other networks which apparently includes the CW now for putting ratings and accommodating your stars above the physical well-being of your lower staffers and guests. I hope this buries you in a pile of your own shit.

Terry McAuliffe, in an interview that ignores his being sued for scamming a Chinese company, is angling for a 2020 run for the White House. God help us if that slimy, Clintonista piece of shit wins.

What has two thumbs and apparently likes to scam Chinese automakers?

Chicago police making up shit about a shooting. I know. I’m as shocked as you are. Which means I’m not the least bit surprised and will continue to not be surprised as these cops walk and continue to get paid until they stop getting paid and instead get pensions funded by taxpayers for basically being above the law.

In case you’ve missed it, a Michigan cop choked a man until he passed out and shit himself for trying to pay a $11.75 parking ticket with rolls of pennies. Adding insult to injury, the victim was charged with assaulting and obstructing a police officer. Because, yeah…FYTW.

Nikki Haley says North Korea is bringing us closer to a war the United States doesn’t want. Thanks a lot, every administration that appeased that psychotic regime for the last 20+ years for putting us in this boat.

Net takers protesting the GOP tax bill because they’ll actually have some skin in the game. Cry me a river.

    More of the week’s music.

Good luck out there today. Cork your bottom points of entry if you come across a media personality or politician. Just in case.

  • Wednesday Morning Links

Any Bulls fans out there? What’s up with your boy Ben Gordon? Dude needs some meds, pronto! Eli Manning is about to take a seat. The coaching carousel in college football continues, as does the dumpster fire at Tennessee after Mike Gundy said “no thanks.”  Curious thing about Tennessee and Gundy, is their lack of outrage about a coach who brought a convicted child sexual assaulter into his program. But their whole Schiano outrage was based on his tenuous at best (if you take seriously a third-hand account made a giant pussy trying to feel better about failing to stop a rape he personally saw) relationship to the Sandusky child sex abuse, right?  Sure it was.  Stay classy, and irrelevant, Tennessee football. All the way to hiring a local high school coach, if you’re lucky. The latest CFP poll came out last night. Bama 5 and Ohio State 8.  With a pair of teams between them that will either win and get in or lose and drop out. So there’s basically nothing between them.  And the committee said there was very little separating 5 through 8.  What does that mean if the Buckeyes beat #4 Wisconsin?  Who knows, but I’ll sure be pulling for TCU anyway.

Metaphor for the Tennessee football program

Across the pond, ManUre beat Watford in a wild one. WBA and Newcastle drew. As did Crystal Palace and Brighton. The big game was Leicester taking Spurs down 2-1 in a game that was nowhere near as close as the score indicates.  More EPL games today, including Liverpool-Stoke and Everton-West Ham in a battle of basement dwellers.

Busy schedule in the NHL yesterday. The Lightning blanked the Sabres. Isles bested the Canucks. Sharks beat the Flyers. Panthers beat the Rangers. Blue Jackets over the Hurricanes in a shootout. The Kings thumped the Red Wings. The Leafs extinguished the Flames. The Dallas Stars beat the Army, I mean Vegas, Golden Knights. The Oilers greased the Coyotes in OT and the Blackhawks got back to their recent run of form in falling to the Predators.

Got it? Good. Moving on! And by on, you know I mean to…the links!

New Jersey man does something interesting. I hope he’s proud of himself!

One of New Jersey Man “Charlie K”‘s victims

San Francisco government disregards perfectly legal sale of property, ignores all legal precedent…and is applauded by the masses. I hope this is overturned but I don’t have much confidence in Commiefornia.

So Oceans 11 was full of shit. Apparently it is possible to simply walk up and rob  casino. Still an enjoyable movie though.

A real rags to riches story. Of course, it helps when you literally have immunity from insider trading laws. Also, “left-leaning” might be a tad of an understatement.

And the latest big name in the sexual abuse scandal to drop is………Matt Lauer! Matt, come on down and see what you’ve won.

Perhaps Matt Lauer was taking Casual Fridays too far

Go ahead and call it a bloodbath. Most people that have lived near those creatures would call it a good start.

Want to hear something stupid? Well here you go.

Also, McCain looks to be the deciding vote on tax reform, which doesn’t give me much hope. The Norks claim to have nukes that can reach D.C. Brexit is getting messy. And last but not least, Terry McAuliffe and Hillary Clinton’s brother are being sued for a shitload of money after allegedly scamming Chinese investors in a green-car “project”.

    Listen if you want to.

    Have a great day, friends.

  • Tuesday Morning Links

Penalties for that slap fight in Oakland are coming today. Who cares. The penultimate CFP poll comes out tonight. Also, Tennessee football is still a dumpster fire, after Cutcliffe (lol, seriously) and Witten say they have zero interest.  Pretty soon, they’ll be dialing Lane Kiffen for that second chance. That’s when you know they’ve given up completely.

The hockey was pretty much it for entertainment yesterday. Penguins beat their cross-state rivals in overtime. The Panthers topped the Devils. Les Canadiens were better than the Blue Jackets. The Jets bombed the Minnesoda WIIIIIIIIIILLLLLLDDDD. And the Blackhawks put up a huge number in beating the “streaking” (but not really) Mighty Ducks.

No more sports.  Here come…the links!

    Do your job!

Thanks for nothing, assholes. Seriously, fuuuuuuuuuck yooooooooooooou! Go collectively (and metaphorically) jump in a woodchipper after this decision, which will enable assholes everywhere to go after this and other natural rights.

Tough shit, tax leeches. Its not only immoral but should be illegal to hold people a generation later financially responsible for piss-poor decisions made by crony politicians and the unions that financed their campaigns.

Another court-related story of assholery. God forbid you’d allow a patient and doctor make their own decisions.

Guilty pleas from two Atlanta area prison guards are a good start. I’m sure it was funny tazing someone until they shit their pants. Now maybe it can happen to you too, asshole.

180 women report being sexually assaulted at Massage Envy locations. Jesus, that’s almost as bad as Congress! But not quite as bad as the Bill Clinton White House.

    A shitty location, apparently

Keeping Portland weird is one thing. But running businesses out of their new offices because hobos are accosting their employees and shitting in the street is something else entirely. Good lock with that decision, Columbia.

What ever happened to these guys? Must have just started sucking. Oh well, that’s the song I’ve got today.

Go out there and enjoy the day. It’s Liberty Ordeth Cranberry Spicer’s 4th birthday today. My how time flies. (Hey, I have two 4 year olds that aren’t twins for the next few days!)

  • Monday Morning Links

Well everybody knows by now that the number will keep getting larger and larger.  Or is it higher and higher?  Either way, who cares as long as it increases and the misery of Michigan fans continues unabated. I hope we can hang with Wisconsin this Saturday and possibly sneak into the playoffs. They look awfully tough.

The Ohio State backup QB doing what Ohio State backup QBs do.

The coaching carousel continues to spin out of control, with aTm firing Sumlin and more surprisingly Arizona State letting Todd Graham go. Do some of these schools not realize they’re playing to their mean with 7-8 wins a season?  Its one thing to let a guy go who is playing to the mean when his contract expires, but another thing entirely to dump a guy mid-contract and pay tens of millions in buyout clauses when he’s doing what the several coaches before him did, if not marginally better.  They can’t all be Nick Satan or Urban Meyer or Dabo (shudders) Swinney.  Be realistic, guys.

On the basketball court, Sparty took UNC behind the woodshed. Duke inexplicably beat Texas on Friday and then beat Florida yesterday. UK seems to have their shit back together. UCLA stole one from UC-Irvine. And the aforementioned aTm beat USC (west coast) in a battle of ranked teams.

Small slate of games on the ice yesterday, with the Hurricanes topping the Predators, the Rangers besting the Canucks in OT and the Oilers doubling up the Bruins.

No more sports for you! Here are…the links!

OK, wait. There is one more (tangentially-related) sports story that needs to be mentioned. Congratulations, Anaheim Mighty Ducks! You win the award for “sports franchise least knowledgable of what’s the hottest topic in the news for the last several months”.  Swissy, tell them what they’ve won…

The eyes say “crazy”, but the hair says “par-tay!”

Florida Man says “k’plah!!!!!” Seriously, I’m more impressed with that sweet-ass mullet than the ink, although both take a serious committment.

I don’t even know what to say, this one is so sad. “Good” for saving the taxpayers money, I guess? Just a shitty, sad story all the way around. The daughter definitely deserved better, that much is sure.

Even the craziest of crazy blind squirrels find acorns every now and then. And this one is shithouse rat-crazy.*

*I sure hope someone in the comments explains the history of that term.

John Conyers decides to lighten his workload. How many committees is he on: one? or is it two?

Whole lotta ass grabbing going on in this. Also, cocaine.

George H.W. Bush hits a major milestone. What a gyp. I thought he had finally groped his 1,000th woman’s ass while making a corny joke.

    You want a weird-ass story? I’ll give you a weird-ass story.

That’s it. This is the end of the line.

    Have a fantastic Monday, friends!

  • Thanksgiving Day Morning Afternoon Links

Turkey Day is upon us, friends. I’m about to make a last minute run to the good people at Kroger because I’m inexplicably out of Durkee fried onions, which are necessary for the green bean casserole. Shit, and I don’t have any rolls. Or paprika for deviled eggs. And I may as well get another gallon of milk.  And I wonder if I can still buy a turkey today cheap as shit and throw it in the freezer. And I wond…dammit, I better stop before this turns into a full-fledged weekly shopping run.

Anyway, as the rest of the family sleeps, I will be slaving away on my Kroger trip and then by getting everything going in the kitchen.  I absolutely love this day. I get to be the king of my house, especially the kitchen, and watch everybody be happy together, and those days will get rarer as the years go by.  I hope y’all get the same feeling from today.

Quick sports update: Arizona lost to NC State in basketball last night. Probably the first big upset of the season. Notre Dame shocked Wichita State in a matchup of ranked teams. In hockey, Boston won in OT, The Canucks dropped the Pens, The Islanders won. The Rangers won. The Crapitals won and the Lightning downed the Blackhawks (sorry, Swissy). Across the pond in UCL games, Chelski won, Athletico beat Roma, Barca drew Juve, Bayern won, PSG won HUGE, and ManUre lost to Basel.

    Get up, bitch!

OK, that’s it for all that stuff. Besides, the real game this week doesn’t happen for one day twenty hours and 5 minutes or so. Go Bucks! Beat ❌ichigan! ⭕️????⭕️!

And now we come to…the links!

Apparently a good cop…who was murdered because of it.

Wow, talk about an incredible coincidence. I mean…what are the odds? (TW: its about Baltimore)

Kathleen Sebelius, who incidentally looks like the chicken lady character from Kids In The Hall, is spilling the beans on the Clinton White House’s handling of sex harassment and assault claims against Slick Willy. So brave to come out 20 years or more later.

Angela Merkel, who incidentally looks like the bulldog Spike off the old Tom & Jerry cartoons (the Fred Quimby ones, not the Chuck Jones ones), is sinking in the polls faster than The Bismark. Gee, I can’t imagine why.

    Angela Merkel.

So, who do I root for in this situation? Oh, I know…nobody! First off, he’s a dumbass for sending dick pics. And she’s looking for her 15 minutes, in my opinion. But I will give him credit: at least he’s no culture warrior SoCon. In fact:

In 1998, amid the scandal over President Bill Clinton’s affair with a White House intern, Barton was quoted in the Los Angeles Times saying, “I personally don’t care a fig about what he does in his bedroom with his wife or any other sexual partners he may have, but I do care if he lies under oath.”

Another day, another proposed tax hike on the residents of Chicago. This one is for the Parks Department to shore up its $462 million budget.  That’s right, the Parks Department in Chicago has a $462 million budget. Nothing left to cut though, eh Rahm?

This is what happens when you have strict gun control and a corrupt government. And that’s why we should never, ever give up our 2A rights.

More of the week’s music. Because I dig The Warriors DJ vibe here. Plus the track just never slows down.

    Happy Thanksgiving, friends.

  • Wednesday Morning Links

UCL midweek games!  I caught a little bit of the first half of the Liverpool blowout. And then I saw the final score. WTF?  Not a good draw there. Not when Spartak and Maribor also drew.  Man City won. Naples won. Leipzig added to Monaco’s woes. Real won and Spurs won. There were a couple more ties, but nobody worth mentioning.

Just a few games on the ice last night, literally. The Canucks grounded the Flyers. The Blues  tore the Oilers a new a-hole. And the North Stars whipped Les Canadiens.

The CFP poll looked exactly like what we all thought it would. The Atlanta Braves got turned into a farm team for the next 5 years or so by MLB. Holy shit, did they drop the hammer on them. Gabby Douglas is the latest athlete to accuse former USA gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar of sexual abuse. I think we’ve hit 100 on the number of accusers for that creep. And we are just barely three days out from The Game, where my hatred will finally consume me. Fuck ❌ichigan. ⭕️????⭕️

    Good boy!

Did you get all that? Well, those of you that haven’t already searched the page for…the links!

Looks like the Mandalay Bay shooting is turning into a jobs program for lawyers. They’re all filing in Los Angeles which, to the best of my knowledge, is hundreds of miles away from the incident.  I hope, at a minimum, that the judges toss the suits and tell the plaintiff’s attorneys to haul their asses to Vegas and file.  But I would be willing to bet a few retarded, gun-grabbing judges will let the cases go forward in the wrong venue just because it’ll give them a chance to grandstand. I’m also shocked nobody has started suing gun manufacturers for it.

Also, what the fuck is going on with that investigation of an older man with no history of violence, no signs of being mentally unstable, who was independently wealthy, moved a lot, maintained few relationships, was never seen at shooting ranges, was never questioned about staying in his room by the hotel that comped his stay, whose computer hard drive went missing after the shooting, whose house was broken into while under control of the FBI and whose winnings were a statistical anomaly for online poker players?  The police and feds haven’t had much to say about that lately. Gee, I wonder why.

These Kennedys aren’t dead. Just drunk.

Hey look: A pair of Kennedys doing what Kennedys do. No, they weren’t spit-roasting a Hollywood star. They were just drunk as shit and raising hell. Thankfully neither of them could find their car keys.

Former Backstreet Boy Nick Carter the latest to be accused of sexual assault.  If her story is true and she told her lawyer, who told her he was too powerful to go after, then that asshole needs to suffer along with her alleged assailant.

On the “preemptive leave of absence” front, the head of Disney/Pixar will be taking time off due to “missteps”.  I swear, these guys are like walking, talking STEVE SMITHs. Perhaps they should start putting out their statement in all-caps.

The jury in the Kate Steinle murder case began deliberations yesterday in San Francisco. I wonder if a not guilty verdict will result in those wacky alt-right “fascists” rioting.  lol, jk. They’ll all be at work.

Hey where the white women at?

Zimbabwe getting ready to swear in new president. I’ll bet you six trillion Zimbabwean dollars right now that he is little better than the guy he served under happily for quite some time until Mugabe’s wife wanted his job.  No word on whether or not white people will be considered for owning land again, as the most racist country in the world continues to circle the drain.

Hey kid, nice shot. (Its a good story, trust me!)

That’s gonna be one hell of a show-n-tell next week.

Think Progress is really concerned with who leaked there Conyers story. A lot more concerned with the leaker than with the substance of the story itself, which is resigned to a place much farther down their site and which also has no mention of Conyers himself but speaks of the “culture” in Congress.  When you don’t like the message, even if its true, try to kill the messenger. Scumbags. (oh, trigger warning: Think Progress!

    Here’s today’s song. Ch-check it out. I think you’ll enjoy it.

Go enjoy that last little bit of work before feast day.

  • Tuesday Morning Links

Hate Week continues. Only 4 days, 4 hours and 40 minutes left (when I finished this piece) until kickoff. Fuck ❌ichigan. But we got some sad news in Buckeye Nation yesterday. Terry Glenn died after a one-car accident just after midnight Sunday. Dude was a hell of a receiver. RIP, Candyman.

Terry Glenn scoring on Notre Dame (who hasn’t beaten Ohio State since Hitler was invading Poland)

On the ice, we had six games. The Blue Jackets topped the Sabres. The surging Coyotes took down the Maple Leafs. The Flames pounded the Crapitals. The Preds beat the Jets. De Debbils took it to OT and beat the Minnesoda WIIIIIIILD. And the Anaheim Mighty Ducks beat the Sharts.

And even though nothing of consequence happens in the NBA until the spring, I’ll note that the Celtics extended their winning streak to 16 games after another come-from-behind win, this time over the Mavs.

That’s it. I’m not going to heavy with sports because there wasn’t that much to discuss.  So rejoice, some of you.  Anyway, here are…the links!

    Jesus, that’s a great speaker!

I’m starting the links off light today. Its a product review of a kickass bluetooth speaker in Gizmodo. But the fun really gets going in the comments.

And I’m gonna follow that up with with some really, really, really great news out of the Trump administration. More winning through rolling back on executive overreach.

Then I’m gonna go into a story that’s so shocking I still don’t know if I’m in a dream. A Chicago cop actually jailed for shooting someone while on duty?  Isn’t this one of the seven seals that once broken will begin the end times?

At some point, I’ll have to go to some darker places with the links. Which means addressing the serial pervert Charlie Rose and his suspension from CBS and PBS.  Apparently this was an open secret for years and years. Which speaks volumes not only about Charlie Rose but about the cretins working around him.

Staying on topic…once the Al Franken air clears, maybe people can start getting down to discussing the John Conyers situation. Nice use of taxpayer money there, John.

Let’s keep this slideshow our secret.

Back to some really good news. Well, its not news really. It’s the Chronicle’s story (with lots of pictures) about the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. Did I mention there were pictures? Lots of pictures.

Which brings us to the last link. The link that will make you go “really? That’s the president you’re gonna say uses language to sway people rather than the slick-talking guy before his that was gonna cause the oceans to recede and the earth to heal”? Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you what might be the most retarded Newsweek lede, if not article, in the history of the world.

I didn’t know whether to stick with rap or go back to rock.  Aw, fuck it. Here’s the song today.

    Go have a great day. #GoBucks! ⭕️????⭕️

  • Monday Morning Links

This is a big sports week for me. But as a courtesy to our non-sports fans and to those who are put off by my hatred for ❌ichigan, I’ll try to keep it toned down.  But seriously, Fuck ❌ichigan. Worst fucking place ever. ⭕️????⭕️ for life!

    Truth!

Federer got bounced by David Goffin in the semifinals of the ATP Finals, so we didn’t get to see him and Grigor Dimitrov face off again in the season finale.  So Dimitrov went out and took Goffin down in three sets to win the championship. Good for him. And good for tennis.

Arsenal put a beatdown on Spurs to jump back into the conver…ok, I gotta stop there. It was one game, but Arsenal ain’t going anywhere. Everton drew with bottom-feeder Palace. Man City keeps cruising. Manure won but the world still hates them. Liverpool thumped Soton. Chelski did the same to WBA.  In Spain, Athletico and Real drew in a snoozer. And in Catalonia, Barcelona eased to a win. Bayern won big. So did Wolfsburg. Leverkusen was held to a draw. I don’t follow the greaseball league, but I assume Roma are still near the top? Well, they won. So did Naples, who beat former powerhouse AC Milan.  Inter won. And Juventus lost to Sampdoria, which sounds like it should be surprising.  Meh, who knows how they can play with all that oil on the ball from the headers anyway.

Full slate of hockey Saturday, but I’ll spare you the details other than to note that the battle for Canada was won by the English-speakers from Toronto. Sorry frogs. Your Canadiens will have to try again next time. Also, the Blackhawks won a pretty important game over the Penguins, who are hated by all decent people. The Army, I mean Las Vegas, Knights beat LA. And the Anaheim Mighty Ducks won. Red Wings lose to the Avalanche, although the matchup doesn’t generate the hate it used to.

No upsets in football, although UVa gave Miami a bit of a scare.  But this is rivalry week, and the sphincters will be a little tighter as the week progresses.  Here’s hoping for some good games. Except one. Fuck _ichigan, I’m hoping we beat the piss out of them.

Right, enough sports. Let’s bring on…the links!

    I dindunuffin!

I don’t know who to believe and I really don’t care anymore. But the creature that is Lena Dunham sure has created a shitshow. Maybe molesting her sister, falsely accusing a man of rape and generally being a piece of shit human being are finally catching up to the sloppy, fat hypocrite.

That crazy asshole Charles Manson is dead. Good.

Could somebody please explain what the fuck Kratom is? Because I keep reading about how its fine. Or how its the scourge of the earth. Or something, something kids hardest hit. Anyway, I’d like to know, but I’m pretty lazy so I won’t research it.  Instead, several of you will hopefully debate it in the comments.

This seems like a pretty clever idea. Although, if the dude really wanted to get some, he could just falsely imprison them, make them have sexy times and then let them go.  Or does that only work in New York?

Ever felt like you were getting raped by the IRS?  Well, about that. Looks like one of their agents, who is still on the job, took the phrase a little too seriously.

    I laughed.

An EU official says Great Britain must make concessions for Ireland during Brexit. I’m getting a kick out of all these demands the EU are making. Britain can just as easily say “go fuck yourself, find a new business partner” and then go on about their lives. I mean, surely they won’t knuckle under and give the Euros whatever they want in exchange for their freedom back.  Will they? Oh shit, they can and probably will.  Oh well, I guess that’s what happens when you entangle your nation with others and give up your sovereignty.  Good luck, Limeys.

Last but not least, college radio stations are becoming everything they used to rail against. And seriously, your station’s call letters are KUMM. You should probably have more of a sense of humor, even if you have no concept of the FCC and how their “laws” work.

I don’t know a single person that dislikes this song. I hope I don’t find out that person exists in the comments.

Have a Happy Monday! (Hey, I’ll play Happy Mondays sometime. But I’ll do it on a Tuesday to be ironic.)
